Project Description Nokia Velocix Origin Server(VXOA) provides the features of Live TV and
Video on demand services. VXOA receives the input as .ts format, does
the chunking and storing into mezzanine format of .ts segments into the
CEPH Storage. Whenever the Clients access the Origin Server for getting
the Audio/Video(AV) through content delivery network(CDN), AV data is
being delivered according to the output format of HLS,
SmoothStreaming and MPEG-DASH format. It also allows to record live
TV using a circular buffer and delivers time-shifted TV services such as
pause live TV and rewind TV. Velocix Origin Server(VXOA) with Velocix
Recording Manager(VRM) scheduler to create a Cloud DVR(cDVR)
solution that supports additional services such as catch-up TV, restart
TV, and network PVR.

Responsibility Developing features related to http webstreaming (HLS, SS, DASH) with
various combinations of DRM with different providers. Also writing
automation tests for those features using BDD (behave) in python and
validating the same. Overview knowledge on distributed storage CEPH
and Cassandra database which is used in the product.
