REAP National Convention 2019 Welcome Remarks

Good morning! Welcome to the Road Engineering Association of the

Philippines National Convention 2019.

The Golden Age of Infrastructure is indeed here, it was signaled by the

administration’s “Build, Build, Build” initiative, pledging to usher in a “golden
age of infrastructure” in the next five years as a response to a decade-long
neglect in the infrastructure sector. It aims not only to bring development
through infrastructure projects but also to bring development to the Filipino
people through creating jobs from these projects.

Coupled with the rapid technological advancement, and the partnership of

the private and public stakeholders, we are all given quite a strong assurance
that this administration’s socioeconomic agenda will bring forth the inclusive
development that we all aspire for every Filipino.

I hope that we all take active participation in all the activities, and I wish
that this event will pave the way to a stronger and goal-oriented partnership
for us all. Again, welcome everyone!
