CAREERS IN EARLY EDUCATION
1. TEACHER AIDE OR TEACHER ASSISTANT (RESEARCH BY MS.EZRA
MAE M.COSICOL)
Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant is the helper of the head teacher to
prepare her/ his lesson material, help the teacher head to supervise her/his
students in class, even during field trips the teacher aide or teacher assistant,
assist the head teacher to take care of the students, especially in primary level
the role of the teacher aide or teacher assistant is very important because in
primary level the behavior of the students is uncontrollable.
Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant also help the head teacher to kept all
the records of the students such as attendance, quizzes, activities and etc. and
also Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant help the head teacher to calculate the
grades of the students. They are also help the head teacher to monitor the
students during activities.
LEARNING INSIGHT BY MS. COSICOL
In my opinion the Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant plays an important
role inside and outside the class room because without the Teacher Aide or
Teacher Assistant, the main teacher or the teacher head will be having hard time
coping up with the different needs of his/her different students. Teacher Aide or
Teacher Assistant plays the role of helping, aiding, assisting the head teacher in
every aspect of the teaching-learning environment.
For special classes such as preparatory or special education, the help of the
aid or assistant is highly needed. Since these types of classes require teachers
to really cater each one of the student’s needs, it would be very impossible for a
single teacher to really provide adequate and necessary needs of the students,
the environment, and the learning itself. This type of need inside the classroom is
of because the more the students are younger, the more it will require the
teacher to prepare more. Without the Teacher Aide or Assistant, it would be all
difficult both for the teacher and the learner.
2. ASSOCIATE TEACHER OR ASSISTANT TEACHER (PREPERED BY
MS.ANGELENE ABIAN COLUMBRES)
Associate Teacher or Assistant Teacher is provided the essential support to
the main teacher or head teacher in preschool such as school setting, class
preparation, activities and ect.
Associate Teacher or Assistant Teacher is like a Teacher Aide, they have
the same responsibility inside the class room.
Associate Teacher or Assistant Teacher responsibilities are the following:
Assisting the teacher with standard housekeeping tasks like taking
attendance, collecting homework and recording grades.
Helping teachers prepare and set up materials for the lesson.
Reinforcing lessons and providing students assistance as they complete
classwork.
Enforcing classroom rules.
Enforcing school rules outside the classroom. (example: during recces
time, field trip and ect.)
Serving as a sounding board and assisting teacher as they create lessons
and classroom policies.
Helping teacher work through issues with individual students.
Helping meet the needs of mainstreamed special education students by
making modifications to lessons as needed.
The associate teacher or assistant teacher must be flexible, dependable, has
the ability to communicate well, lover of learning and lover of children &
teenager.
LEARNING INSIGHT BY MS. COLUMBRES
I have learned how important it is to accept that we are not perfect teachers
and neither are our cooperating teachers. We all have things to learn and in
student teaching experience has taught me how to learn from my mistakes
rather than letting them eat away at me. I learned something from my
cooperating teacher and from the students, almost every day and being open
to this and vulnerable allowed me to grow, adapt, and think on my feet.
Having these experiences is the true life of teacher. I have learned the
importance of having an open mind. You can walk into any classroom and
see completely different environments, teaching styles, student personalities,
curriculum, resources and ect. It is so easy to have your own ways and own
approaches to teaching, disregarding anything else that you encounter. I have
learned that opening up to approaches and styles that I am not particularly
used to is beneficial to help me learn more ways that I can help my students
and to also learn more about what I like and dislike as a teacher.
I am fortunate to have enjoyed but I have also learned that there is value
in learning about what to do as a teacher just as much as learn what you do
want to do. It is important to continue being open minded so that you can
leave the room to grow into a more effective teacher. I found myself in very
low points but also in very high points throughout the semester but I can
clearly see how it has all grown me as a teacher and feel as though I can
confidently walk into whatever classroom I will be teaching someday. I cannot
believe that the time has come for my own classroom, I can hardly wait.
The assistant directors (AD) department is the bridge between the director
and the rest of the production crew. A first assistant director heads up the
department and acts as the director's right hand, taking on the important
practicalities of a shoot and ensuring a disciplined, safe and effective working
environment. They are aided by second and third ADs, crowd ADs and floor
runners.

This is the definition assistant director in film industry, when it come to the
education is like the same because the assistant director is the second hand
of the director if director is not around the assistant director will be act as a
director.
LEARNING INSIGHT BY MR. DOMINGO
Base on my opinion as a future teacher we are the assistant director
of our student because we assist them to the right way of learning & we show
the right direction. And like the assistant director in tv shows, our students is
our talent , he/she is our actor & actress. We can teach them, train them and
manage them. Most important we care every each of them.
We share our knowledge to them. We treasure them, we care for
them like our own child and we share our love to them. We enhance their
potential and make them a better person.
7.EDUCATIONAL DIRECTOR (PREPERED BY: MR. GILBERT DEJENO)
Education directors, also known as instructional coordinators, direct and
shape the curricula and teaching processes in a school or school district. Some
education directors run the educational programs at non-school settings, such as
museums, businesses and non-profit organizations. They work with educational
committees and advisory groups within the community to come up with the most
appropriate curricula to meet the needs of their students.
Another key role of an education director is providing advice to teachers, school
administrators and support staff. They provide training in the use of educational
materials and techniques. Education directors advise educators on how to
comply with local, state and national standards, as well as work closely with
school boards to apply the board's rules and regulations.
These are the things that the director or principal must poses in order for
her/him to manage the school well.
In my own point of view both principal and directors are both needed by the
school and other businesses it's because they are the person who has a certain
degree of authority in business dealings. In the field of education, a principal is
the head of the school. The principal makes the decisions for the entire school,
including teachers, support staff and students. Principals develop standardized
curricula, assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage
parent involvement, revise policies and procedures, administer the budget, hire
and evaluate staff and oversee facilities. The role of a principal is to provide
strategic direction in the school system. Principals develop standardized
curricula, assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage
parent involvement, revise policies and procedures, administer the budget, hire
and evaluate staff and oversee facilities. The role of the principal covers many
different areas including leadership, teacher evaluation, student discipline, and
many others.
