CAREERS IN EARLY EDUCATION
1. TEACHER AIDE OR TEACHER ASSISTANT (RESEARCH BY MS.EZRA
MAE M.COSICOL)
Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant is the helper of the head teacher to
prepare her/ his lesson material, help the teacher head to supervise her/his
students in class, even during field trips the teacher aide or teacher assistant,
assist the head teacher to take care of the students, especially in primary level
the role of the teacher aide or teacher assistant is very important because in
primary level the behavior of the students is uncontrollable.
Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant also help the head teacher to kept all
the records of the students such as attendance, quizzes, activities and etc. and
also Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant help the head teacher to calculate the
grades of the students. They are also help the head teacher to monitor the
students during activities.
LEARNING INSIGHT BY MS. COSICOL
In my opinion the Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant plays an important
role inside and outside the class room because without the Teacher Aide or
Teacher Assistant, the main teacher or the teacher head will be having hard time
coping up with the different needs of his/her different students. Teacher Aide or
Teacher Assistant plays the role of helping, aiding, assisting the head teacher in
every aspect of the teaching-learning environment.
For special classes such as preparatory or special education, the help of the
aid or assistant is highly needed. Since these types of classes require teachers
to really cater each one of the student’s needs, it would be very impossible for a
single teacher to really provide adequate and necessary needs of the students,
the environment, and the learning itself. This type of need inside the classroom is
of because the more the students are younger, the more it will require the
teacher to prepare more. Without the Teacher Aide or Assistant, it would be all
difficult both for the teacher and the learner.
2. ASSOCIATE TEACHER OR ASSISTANT TEACHER (PREPERED BY
MS.ANGELENE ABIAN COLUMBRES)
Associate Teacher or Assistant Teacher is provided the essential support to
the main teacher or head teacher in preschool such as school setting, class
preparation, activities and ect.
Associate Teacher or Assistant Teacher is like a Teacher Aide, they have
the same responsibility inside the class room.
Associate Teacher or Assistant Teacher responsibilities are the following:
 Assisting the teacher with standard housekeeping tasks like taking
attendance, collecting homework and recording grades.
 Helping teachers prepare and set up materials for the lesson.
 Reinforcing lessons and providing students assistance as they complete
classwork.
 Enforcing classroom rules.
 Enforcing school rules outside the classroom. (example: during recces
time, field trip and ect.)
 Serving as a sounding board and assisting teacher as they create lessons
and classroom policies.
 Helping teacher work through issues with individual students.
 Helping meet the needs of mainstreamed special education students by
making modifications to lessons as needed.
The associate teacher or assistant teacher must be flexible, dependable, has
the ability to communicate well, lover of learning and lover of children &
teenager.
LEARNING INSIGHT BY MS. COLUMBRES
I have learned how important it is to accept that we are not perfect teachers
and neither are our cooperating teachers. We all have things to learn and in
student teaching experience has taught me how to learn from my mistakes
rather than letting them eat away at me. I learned something from my
cooperating teacher and from the students, almost every day and being open
to this and vulnerable allowed me to grow, adapt, and think on my feet.
Having these experiences is the true life of teacher. I have learned the
importance of having an open mind. You can walk into any classroom and
see completely different environments, teaching styles, student personalities,
curriculum, resources and ect. It is so easy to have your own ways and own
approaches to teaching, disregarding anything else that you encounter. I have
learned that opening up to approaches and styles that I am not particularly
used to is beneficial to help me learn more ways that I can help my students
and to also learn more about what I like and dislike as a teacher.
I am fortunate to have enjoyed but I have also learned that there is value
in learning about what to do as a teacher just as much as learn what you do
want to do. It is important to continue being open minded so that you can
leave the room to grow into a more effective teacher. I found myself in very
low points but also in very high points throughout the semester but I can
clearly see how it has all grown me as a teacher and feel as though I can
confidently walk into whatever classroom I will be teaching someday. I cannot
believe that the time has come for my own classroom, I can hardly wait.

3. TEACHER ( PREPERED BY MS. MARY ANN D.DE VERA )

Teacher also called as Educator is the person who helps others to
in the lives acquire knowledge, competences or values.
Teacher plays vital role in lives of the student in their classrooms.
Teacher rare the best known for the role for educating the students that place
in their care. Beyond that, teachers serve many other roles in classroom.
Teachers set the tone of their classrooms, build warm environment, mentor
and nurture students, become role models, listen and look for signs of
troubles.
Duties and Functions of a Teacher
1. Teacher should know the function of literacy & numeracy.
2. Teacher should know how to do arts.
3. Teacher should know technical things.
4. Teacher should know how to teach values.
5. Teacher should know how to motivate the learner.
LEARNING ISIGHT BY MS. DE VERA
Teachers are one of the most influential & powerful force for equity,
access and quality in education & key to sustainable global development. As
future educator, we seek to inspire our students in all aspect of their lives and
for the students to love learning. It is the hand of teacher to motivate our
learner to develop their ability and aspiration to learn. We also need to be
warm, accessible, enthusiastic & caring to from a strong relationship and to
show that we care about them as people. It is our responsibility to mold and to
inculcate our student to be a better person and for them to perceive their role
in our society, as teachers know that students are the future of all nations. We
also need to learn and understand how divers students can affect our
teaching strategy. We need to see through our heart and not through our
eyes.
Being a teacher is not just having a profession, it is a vacation and a life
time commitment not only to our students but us well. We need to be globally
competitive in order for us to succeed in this vocation and to possess a great
deal of knowledge and skills with regard to both teaching and assessment
practices in order to meet those demands and standards of quality education.
4. HEAD TEACHER ( PREPARED BY:MR. GERALD DATILES)
A head teacher is the most senior teacher and leader of a school,
responsible for the education of all pupils, management of staff and for school
policy making. Head teachers are the most senior teachers and leaders of
primary and secondary schools. Head teachers are ultimately responsible for
the smooth running of a school, the academic achievement of the students
and management of its staff. Although they are usually teachers with many
years experience, the emphasis of their role is to provide educational vision
and direction rather than teaching in classroom.
All of the head teacher usually do the administrative work rather than
teaching especially in college level.
LEARNING INSIGHT BY MR. DATILES
In my insight being head teacher is a big and important role in education,
they are the primary elements to manage the school smoothly. Head teacher
should become reflexive to all aspect of organizing because head teacher is
the leader of all teacher he/she is the one who check all the paper and all the
teaching methods of the teachers and how the teacher do their task to
educate the student, that is why head teacher also have a extensive
experience, it is help to him/her to manage that problem, some head teacher
move to larger school which brings increasing challenges, so that experience
in different organizing should help in head teacher like assistance head
teacher. Head teacher also passionate to their job because being head of the
school is not easy, it is difficult job the future of good quality education in
school is in their hand, they are the one who select the staff of school or
teacher who will teach the student, it is also necessary to him/her being an
observant in school. As a future teacher & educator I am preparing myself to
become a head teacher by studying different challenges in school also by
practicing my skills in managing the situation like group activity in our project
school and doing paper works that may need to submit to our professors,
doing paper work is also essential in head teacher because 75 percent of task
that the head teacher is paper woks. Equality perspective is also required to
the head teacher to make decision when there is serious case problem in
school because all of the decision he/she will make it will reflect to the school
image in outer society, it is important to head teacher to have a correct
decision that include in code of ethics because if the head teacher is bais in
terms of decision making, the school will not manage correctly it may have a
bad image to school. Good leader also necessary because school is not just
only compose of one teacher it is compose of more that seven different
teachers so that leadership is include of head teacher.
Being a head teacher is not a job that you can compare to other job
in the society, head teacher wide skill works because the job is to make the
educational study of student good and well manage the part of head teacher
in school is important he/she make a plan and also decision how the school
works together. The school is provides opportunity for study & discipline,
school had a big part of the child development so it is also important that the
school should hire a good head teacher to make sure that the education of
the child is good & the student get a better development.
5. PROGRAM DIRECTOR OR SUPERVISOR (PREPERED BY: MS.
MONINA SEN S. DALIDA & MS. ELIZA FE COROCOTO)
As a program director or supervisor have a diverse set of
responsibility and managing them all can often feel like a delicate balancing
act. She or He has to provide a safe, healthy environment for children &
teachers. Learn about the education & needed to become a program director

They are responsible for managing teachers, students & all other
school faculty member. They are also responsible in overall wellbeing of a
students.

Program Director or Supervisor are needed in the school because
without them, the school will be unorganized. In addition, they must be a
multitasker, flexible and reliable and also the teacher should report to the
program director or supervisor the progress of the children.

LEARNING INSIGHT BY MR. DOMINGO
Base on my opinion as a future teacher we are the assistant director
of our student because we assist them to the right way of learning & we show
the right direction. And like the assistant director in tv shows, our students is
our talent , he/she is our actor & actress. We can teach them, train them and

them like our own child and we share our love to them. We enhance their
potential and make them a better person.
7.EDUCATIONAL DIRECTOR (PREPERED BY: MR. GILBERT DEJENO)
Education directors, also known as instructional coordinators, direct and
shape the curricula and teaching processes in a school or school district. Some
education directors run the educational programs at non-school settings, such as
museums, businesses and non-profit organizations. They work with educational
committees and advisory groups within the community to come up with the most
appropriate curricula to meet the needs of their students.
Another key role of an education director is providing advice to teachers, school
administrators and support staff. They provide training in the use of educational
materials and techniques. Education directors advise educators on how to
comply with local, state and national standards, as well as work closely with
school boards to apply the board's rules and regulations.

Education Director Job Duties

Education directors research and select textbooks, as well as other educational
materials and order or authorize the purchase of supplies. They may also be
involved with the research and design of educational materials and instructional
methods. Other job duties of education directors include mentoring new teachers,
teaching workshops or seminars and observing teachers in the classroom.
Additionally, education directors may provide constructive feedback based on
teacher evaluations.
LEARNING INSIGHT BY : MR. DEJENO
Base on my opinion the main task of the educational director is to check &
evaluate the teachers if they are doing their job right. The educational director is
the one who supervise the activity of the school when it comes to the supply of
the educational materials. And they are the one who responsible to purchasing
the school needs of a community.
The educational director also provided the research of the schools that need
the help when it comes to educational materials. They are the one who
coordinate in the community school who need help. And they are the who
conduct seminars for the teachers who need more knowledge in teaching.

A curriculum coordinator or resource teacher is an educational profession
whose job is to help teachers develop a better school curriculum. Also know as
an instructional developer, their typical job duties include observing & training
teachers, ordering new instructional materials and ensuring the school curriculum
meets all states guidelines. Other responsibilities involve meeting with the school
administrators ang assessing students grades with the goal of helping the school
raise their overall test scores. Some curriculum coordinators or resource
teachers specialize in a particular grade level while others specialize in a certain
academic subject or area.
LEARNING INSIGHTS BY : MS. CAPARAS
The Curriculum Coordinator or Resource Teacher is the one who develop
instructional material, coordinate its implementation with teachers and principals
and assess its effectiveness. These professionals typically have several years of
teaching experience before moving into this role. They are the one who helps

responsible for selecting specific textbooks based on the curriculum you
designed.
A curriculum coordinator or resource teacher has a good interpersonal
skills to establish effective working relationships with teachers and school
administrators, it is a good point if a curriculum coordinator or resource teacher is
creative when it comes to discussions because most students who have this
disengaged teacher will learn less and the program has just be itself by
controlling teachers too much. So the program has the choice of continuing to
control with the one size fits all and lastly a effective curriculum coordinator or
resource teacher has a quality of leadership skills to coach teachers on effective
instructional strategies.
9. DIRECTOR OR PRINCIPAL (PREPARERED BY: MS. DANICA ROSE P.

Leading the school community in the development and successful

implementation of the three-year school plan, including annual updates.
Publishing the school plan on the school’s website by the end of Term 1 at the
commencement of a planning cycle. leading a collaborative, ongoing process of

In my own point of view both principal and directors are both needed by the
school and other businesses it's because they are the person who has a certain
degree of authority in business dealings. In the field of education, a principal is
the head of the school. The principal makes the decisions for the entire school,
including teachers, support staff and students. Principals develop standardized
curricula, assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage
parent involvement, revise policies and procedures, administer the budget, hire
and evaluate staff and oversee facilities. The role of a principal is to provide
strategic direction in the school system. Principals develop standardized
