The Next Great Generation

any great work for the revival of his church; he has taken the young people, and
has cast off the old and stiff-necked generation." – Jonathan Edwards (Frontliner of First
Great Awakening)

God loves using young people! Joseph, Samuel, David, Daniel, Timothy, Jonathan
Edwards, John Wesley, DL Moody. Biblically and historically speaking, it is proved that
when God begins a new movement of his spirit, he often uses young people at the heart
of it.

But what amazes me more is the next generation of leaders. The Kingdom of God is
forcefully advancing and I believe God is raising up stronger, greater, and more
powerful young leaders that will change the world for Jesus before He comes.

The next generation is no doubt a GREAT generation!

They just need to be challenged…..

I’ll prove you why?

The next great generation….

1. Seeks for genuine spirituality

9 out of 10 youth today are dead serious to have a meaningful relationship with God.
Richard Ross a youth ministry professor said, “There seems to be a growing desire in
the coming generation to honor God.”
They are no longer satisfied with icebreakers or games; they want something that has
BIBLICAL SUBSTANCE.
They seek purpose and meaning.
They long to serve their creator.
It is a lie that the youth nowadays are childish and rebellious….. It’s just that no one
dared to introduce JESUS to them. And if they do, you’ll be amazed how they will
respond….

WHAT TO DO? CHALLENGE THEM TO SURRENDER THEIR LORDSHIP TO JESUS

CHRIST!

2. Desires to make a difference in the world

What is exciting about the next generation is that they have the HEART for the future.
They are not selfish! They see themselves being used to change the world and make
history. They are not happy being ordinary, they are not happy with the status quo…
 NO ONE JUST DARED TO CHALLENGE THEM!
I’ve seen hundreds and thousands of youth in my ministry. They started as DRY
YOUNG PEOPLE and when we started challenging them that even I am still amazed to
see how they continue to respond to the call of making a difference for Jesus!
They will cry loud and surrender their lives at the altar.
The same wave of the spirit…. Everywhere I go, there is this desire growing in their
hearts to impact change and it will only be unleashed once they are challenged!

WHAT TO DO? Challenge them to make a difference for Jesus! Challenge them to turn
their campuses upside down, YOU’LL BE AMAZED!

3. Are radical to die for what they believe in

Young people long to live for something with such radical abandon.
If we challenge them to take risks for God, we’d be amazed of what they could do!
Cassie Bernall once said –"I want to live completely for God. It's hard and scary but
totally worth it." She answered "yes" when a young gunman asked if she was a
Christian - and Cassie died as a martyr in 1999.
Young people nowadays are RADICALS to what they believe in! They are willing to die
for their faith!

WHAT TO DO? Challenge them today! Win them today before it’s too late! The seed
SOWN today will continue to sprout for the rest of their lives…

History Makers must be aggressive and radical in challenging the youth of today to:
 give their lives to Jesus
 make a difference for Jesus
 be radical for Jesus

They must be introduced to JESUS and accept His Lordship over their lives. They must
be reconciled to God and start a wonderful relationship with Him. They must be taught
to study the Bible and love prayer in their lives. They must be taught how to radically
share their faith to others. They must be challenged to change the world for Jesus.

History Makers, let go all out this time, GO WHERE THEY ARE, (CAMPUSES)

CHALLENGE THE NEXT GREAT GENERATION! Let’s harvest them for Jesus!
