INTIMATIONS OF HOPE

Intimations of hope are around,

In God’s creation they can be found;
The enemy can never efface nor obliterate—
What God did powerfully vindicate.

Where can these intimations be?

What means thus they are to me?
Do I have to lend my eyes to seeing,
What these intimations are suggesting?

Why does time furnish us a copy of yesterday,

When man’s honor and glory had passed away?
What has been declared long, long ago,
The proceedings of today do still imbue.

To struggle is to live, to live is to survive;

What we must know is what can preserve us alive,
That struggle will lead to right selection,
Of a Master with the right proposition.

Lives will always bring intimations,

Though an action be done with the least intention,
We intend not to be intentional hence,
What a shame to be slack in the King’s presence.

Water flows in a stream from a wellspring,

Thus a soul that persists has a clear beginning;
Of who is that Hope-Giver that sustains,
An enduring faithful being lives by what it maintains!
