be careful,
YOUR MIND CAN ENDANGER YOUR SOUL!
“Come now, and let us reason together, “ says the Lord,

though they are red like crimson,
they shall be as wool.”

As God, He knows what

In the Old Testament, the Lord said:
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You
shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all
your soul, and with all your strength.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-5, NKJV

But in the New Testament, Lord Jesus taught us to love the Lord
your God:
“… with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all
your mind.” Matthew 22:37, NKJV

Lord Jesus added one intangible element, which is to love the

Lord with all your mind.

In our daily living, we can find two groups of Christians: those

who live by faith and those who live by their own mind/ rational
thinking.

In our daily lives, there are more people who trust in their own
rational thinking or mind than faith, because using our mind is
much easier. Be careful!! Many people take wrong steps and
become far away from God because they use their own mind
without aligning it to God’s will. How are we supposed to use
our mind?

Many people make mistake
by assuming that mind can
function objectively without
the influence of “the things”
that we put inside our mind.

In other words, if we often

put certain things inside
our mind, then those things
would be the products

Amsal 21:31 This verse talks about people who try to prepare everything to be

able to enjoy the victory, but at the end the victory is determined

by God. This means, man can try to prepare, arrange, and try his

best, but at the end God should be the source of our success.

Let us always rely on God and ask for His help and His interference

in our work, school, and every aspect of our life. In His time, God

will surely give us success. When the success is in our hand, do

not forget that God is the one who bring it to pass.

Proverbs 23: 18 If we want to see a bright future, then why don’t we start sowing
good things today? We need to believe that God’s measurement
will not be unfair. Even though there are many challenges for us
to sow good things, let’s not looking at the difficulties. Instead,
let’s focus on God. Do not focus on the result. What God consider
right and pleasing to Him is to sow while keeping our focus to God
who is full of love and power.

We do not sow because we want to show-off or show our status

to others; we sow to glorify God. When we do what is just, when
we help the needy, when we bring our offering, we do it all for
God. Then He will be merciful and protect us. Do not complain
after sowing, but wait upon God in holiness. What we have sown

If someone is seeking something, that person requires an effort,

until the effort bears fruit. In order to be able to get the result, that

person has to be persevering and persistent.

Proverbs 28:5b tells us about someone who is seeking the Lord;

someone who puts a lot of effort in order to encounter God. We

need to put some efforts to be able to encounter God and become

close to Him. Many times, things may not be easy for us to spend

time to pray and read the Word of God, but we need to keep doing

it consistently. When we seek God, surely He will be pleased to

meet us.

And for those who seeks the Lord, God will reveal His secret, His

heartbeat, His mind and His plan so that we can understand many

things in our life. Let us being more persistent in seeking God,

“Every word of God is pure; “pure” means something that is not mixed or contaminated by

put their trust in Him.”

Proverbs 30:5
Proverbs 30:5 says that every word of God is pure which means
that every word is God is not contaminated by other things. The
word of God is God’s own desire, feeling, mind and plan. When
we read the word of God, we are actually trying to explore God’s
mind and heart. And that’s why as we read the word of God we
need to realise that God Himself talk to our lives.

The word of God is a shield to our lives. The shield functions as a

protector to whom using it. The word of God is also a source of
guidance in life. When we understand God’s guidance through
His word, our life journey will be guided accordingly. We believe
that every guidance from God will bring goodness in our life.
Therefore, let us build the habit of reading the word of God daily.
Let us understand that every time we read the word of God, God
is talking to us and we are led to come into His perfect plan for us.

The word of God is God’s own desire, mind, feeling and plan.

The Power Of His Love
31
March Bible in a Year
Genesis 1-3

First of all we have to believe that God is exist and He is the

MEMORY VERSES: creator of the heaven, earth and everything in it. Atheist does
not believe in God, and that’s why they don’t believe in the Bible,
So God created man in His especially the book of Genesis which tells us about the story
own image; in the image of of creation. And neither do those who believe in the theory of
God He created him; male evolution. In the book of Hebrew 11:3 it is said: “By faith we
understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so
and female He created
that the things which are seen were not made of things which
them. are visible”.
Genesis 1:27
Because of faith, someone can believe in the creation story in
the book of genesis. And faith is God’s grace for us.

I believe that God has a purpose in His creation. The word of

God says that God is love and that (agape) love needs to be
shared. To whom? To us. And that’s why we are created in His
image (Genesis 1:26) How wonderful, amazing, organized and
perfect is the creation of God who creates us for His purpose! In
Psalm 104 we can read about God’s greatness in all His creation.

So if we grasp the idea and understand how we are loved by

God through His creation, especially because God gave His one
and only son Jesus Christ who died for the redemption of our sin
(consequences of sin that was firstly started in Genesis 3), what
else do we need as a proof of His love to us? Romans 8 : 35 says
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation,
or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or
sword?”

Let’s remain to stay in His love.

Faith is God’s grace to us.

The Power Of Sin

Genesis 4 6

In the book of Genesis 3, we read about the first death in the

MEMORY VERSES: world ever, that is Abel, who was killed by his own brother Cain.
The root cause of the murder is simple, because of “jealousy”
If you do well, will you not (Genesis 4:5). The power of sin didn’t stop over there. In Genesis

you, but you should rule man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart (verse 6). And
over it.” therefore God decided to destroy man from the face of the earth
for He is sorry that He had made them.
Genesis 4:7
We may think that God is cruel with His decision. But no, God is
not cruel, He is the God who is full of love, but He is also a just
God. How could he destroy man that was created according to
His own image? The man that He loves so much? Because of sin,
God made this difficult decision.

Thankfully, in the situation when wickedness was great, God found

Noah, the only person that could please God’s heart because
Noah’s life was righteous and without blemish. The name Noah
means “the son of consolation”.

We are also living in almost similar condition or even worse than

the times of Noah, where wickedness of man was so great. If
in Noah’s time God was able to find someone that can please
His heart, may He is also able to find us - who have received
and known the love of God - to be His “consolation”, Let us live
righteously and without blemish.

He is the God who is full of love, but He is also a just God.

that Noah took 120 years to complete the ark.
Genesis 7:1

I do believe that Noah had to face mocking and negative

comments from his neighbors. If only Noah didn’t set his heart
to obey God, he may not be able to complete the ark. After
the water receded from the earth after the flood, the first thing
that Noah did was not something concerning his condition or
his family or his livestock. instead of doing all of these things,
he built an altar to The Lord and offered a burnt offering on the
altar that pleased God. Because of Noah’s obedience and faith,
God made a covenant that He will never again destroy man
(Genesis 8:21). Until now we can see the evidence that although
the imagination of man’s heart is evil and the wickedness of
man increases, God keeps His promise.

Our sacrifice needs to be offered righteously, it will be pleasing

to God and He will bless us.

Because of Noah’s obedience and faith, his family and

himself received grace from God!
