Performance Standard(Skills): Describe the notes, beats and their corresponding rests
PREPARATION
Motivation/Introductory Activity
Each representative of the class will give their own idea/answer the following questions;
1. What do you think the hearts have a beat?
2. What do you think the drums have a beat?
3. What do you think the hands can be clap?
4. What do you think the feet can be stomp?
PRESENTATION
a. Activity
The class will be divided into three groups . The class will be singing the leron leron sinta with
an accompaniment assigned to each group to execute.
The class will be playing the Conductor’s on the Ship
Group 1- clap-4 beats
Group 2- Snap- 2 beats
Group 3- Stomp- 1 beat
b. Analysis
1. What have you observed from your presentation?
2. What can you say about your presentation?
c. Abstraction
(using bubble tree web in discussion)
1. What is notation?
2. What are the different types of notes and rests?
3. How many beats that we have in these notes?
PRACTICE
d. Application
(Group presentation)
Each group will be given a task card which they will perform the task that was assigned in each group.
