Channel Replacement - Notes -
• If two channels are bad then input the lowest channel number
if e.g. 256 and 257 are bad then input 256
• Bundled channels - check the sinogram -
One bad channel in the channel bundling area may look like two bad
channels in the sinogram - Replacement may be successful -
Two consecutive bad channels in the channel bundling area may look like
four bad channels in the sinogram - Replacement may not be successful
• Is it OK to take calibration after set CH-Replacement?
Under evaluation
The ring artifact may be caused by filtering in the pre-processing
• Bad channel interval - should be two channels or more -
It also depends on the region
• Log channel replacement settings for later reference
- software loading - the settings are not in the back-up tool

Channel Replacement - Notes -
It was reported from Australia that S&V with a slice thickness for which interpolation
has been set, may cause difficulties in combination with V1.4. The difficulties could
be reproduced at the factory and have been reported to the engineering department.

Situation:
A scan with Scan&View - four rows, with a slice thickness for which interpolation has
been set, is aborted after less than half a second and an error message is shown:

Error in preprocess (timeout before collecting all projection data)

After switching off the channel interpolation the system works fine again.

Currently a cure or a workaround is not available.
