Database Modelling, Management and Development

Database design and modelling - Business Rules and Relationship; Java database Connectivity (JDBC),
Database connection Manager, Stored Procedures. Trends in Big Data systems including NoSQL - Hadoop
HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, and enhancements.

Objective: In this unit, the basic Database design concepts and the procedures for establishing the connectivity
with a database will be discussed. The recent trends in Big Data systems and the tools that are developed will be
discussed in detail.
