The Car Rental System is being developed for customers so that they can book

their vehicles from any part of the Borongan City. The application takes information

from the customers through filling their details. A customer being registered in the

website has the facility to book a vehicle which he/she requires.

The proposed system is completely integrated online system it automates

manual procedure in an effective and efficient way. This automated system facilities

customer and provides to fill up the details according to their requirements it includes

type of vehicle they are trying to hire and location. The purpose of this system is to

develop a web site for the people who can book their vehicles along with requirements

from any part of the Borongan.

Introduction I

Background and Rationale

The system that is going to be developed will be known as the Car Rental

System. Currently, there is no any computerize system being used by in handling the

car customer, administrator and staff of Online Car Rental System. The purpose of

this system is to overcome problem faced by (OCRS), using the manual way,

Therefore, it will make all the processes regarding with car rental operation easier to

manage.

Chapter II

Review Related Literature

In coping with the globalization of information technology, computer had played

an important role in organization or companions of the organization used computerized

system in handling all their activities regarding with data processing in order to make

the organization operation more efficient. All the manual activities are now can done

using computerized system. Although computerized system had been implemented

within an organization, the manual system can used still be used as guidance.

CRS is a web application system that is develop for Borongan City in order to

replace the current manual way used by the organization. Using the manual way, there

are a lot of problem arise that can cause difficulty to the car rental and also to the

arrangement team of the organization. Hopefully, by developing this system, it will help

to continue user to overcome the problem faced by them and made the car rental

operational easier.

OBJECTIVES:
 In overall, the main objective of this system is to provide convenience to the

management team by developing a computerized system to make process regarding

car rental easier. In distinctive, the objective of CRS are:

 To provide direct access to customers through wed application system.

 To view current status of all cars such as available, being rented or

 To provide report generations and analysis such as the car rental report and

statistic from time to time.

SCOPE:

The system that is going to be developed is known as the car rental system

company, whereas the system is a web-based application system. The main users of

this system are administrator, customer (renter) and staff. This system also includes

car rental report by month.

Significance of the study:

 CRS has its own significance to its users, using this system it will help the

costumers in making booking and renting car easier. Therefore, it will help the

processes faced by current manual system. Using this system, it can also help the

auto management team to keep tract of the entire car and the renting operation

information. Besides that, this system will not only help in making the rental car

process. This system will not only help it user in renting car process, it also can let the

customer know that current status of car whether there is still available car or not.

Therefore, all process regarding with renting car operation can be handled easily and

given a lot of benefits to OCRS to the company.

CONCLUSION

As an overall, CRS is developed to make all the operations regarding the car

rental more efficient. The system is developed in order to overcome the problems

faced using the manual way. Currently, many car rental companies are using manual

system. Therefore, the system is hoping to help the car rental companies in managing

the car manual operation besides providing better services to all users that that are

the customer staff and administrator.

From this chapter, the statement, objectives scopes and project will be used by

the users.

After finishing this chapter, it will bring to the second chapter that is the literature

review.
