Madam/Sir,
The undersigned is directed to forward you the Admission schedule and Academic Calendar (annexed) for the B.A./
B.Sc./ B.Com.(Honours/ General/ Major), B.Mus. (Honours/General), B.B.A. (Honours) Courses of Studies for the Academic
Session 2019-2020 which are also available in the University Website (www.calynjv.ac.in).

The admission process shall be strictly in accordance with the notification bearing no.804-Edn(CS)/10M-95/14,
dt. 13.05.2019, issued by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal (annexed).

The admission process to the 1•1 year (1•1 semester) U.G. Courses of Studies shall start after publication of the result of
H.S. (10+2) Examination, 2019, conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Candidates who passed 10+2
Examination or its equivalent Examination are eligible to seek admission to the 1•1 year of the above-mentioned Courses of Studies
provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being Jess than 100.

The students shall be admitted as per the following schedule subject to fulfillment of conditions as laid down in the
University Notification No. CSR/03/18 dated 07.5.2018 for B.A./B.Sc./B.Mus. (Honours/General), CSR/04/2018 dated 07.5.2018
for B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com.(Major), CSR/26/2017 dated 26.5.2017, CSR/64/2017 dated 14.9.2017 & CSR/10/18 dated 30.5.2018
for B.Com. (Honours/ General) and CSR/07 /18 dated 30.5.2018 for B.B.A. (Honours).

Publication of Merit List :within 10th June, 2019

Sub: Online admissions for the Academic Session 2019-20 to alllJG & PG Courses

The results of the West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination 20 19 are expected to be
announced shortly. This Department has received queries from different colleges regarding the
admission modalities to be followed by them for the ensuing academic session 20 19-20.

Considering the success achieved in online admission process, and in view of the fact
that the requisite infrastructure has already been put in place in the State· s higher education
institutions, it is hereby info rmed to all concerned that admissions to all Under Graduate and Post
Graduate courses (Honours and General) in the State-funded higher education institutions in West
Bengal fo r the ensuing academic session 20 19-20 will be made online (stand-a lone mode) as per the
modalities detai led below ;

I) On-line admission process should be done based on merit. Prospective students should not be
called for counseling or verification of documents during the process of admission. No physical
presence will be requ ired at the colleges I university (if any)
2) Eligible applicants should be informed directly by the co llege authorities through letter or e-
mail or telecommunicati on.
3) Payment of fees should be done only through e-payment or designated banks and not physically
at the colleges.
4) List of eligible applicants should be handed over to the des ignated bank branches for
verification during payment through banks. Banks will receive admission fees on the basis of
merit list.
5) All testimoni als are required to be uploaded online during application. Verification of
documents, if required, should be done only when the students report for the classes in due
course. Admi ssion will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the
declaration in the forms submitted on-line.

Vice-Chancellors of all tate-aided Universities are requested to take necessary steps in

this regard, including issuing sui table instructions to all the affi liated institutions.
This advisory does not apply to admission to teacher training courses such as B.Ed.,
B. P.Ed .. M.Ed. , or M. P.Ed . etc. , fo r whi ch a separate Noti ficat ion has been issued.
