Student Response and Assessment Tools
Students will be working in teams, each team having a tablet to work with. It is the student’s responsibility to
click on the response they think is correct for each question. The teacher will be clicking the screen moving
onto the next question, while listening to student discussion as they decide on the answer. There is a total of
10 questions included in the Kahoot.

Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):

☒ Multiple choice ☐ Multiple select ☐ True/False ☐ Yes/No
☐ Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank ☐ Longer open-ended response

If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):

Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?

☒ Yes ☐ No
☐ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
☒ Yes
☐ No
Why or why not?
Kahoot allows its users to see the correct answers after all answers have been submitted. Once all groups
have answered, displaying the correct answer on the screen will prompt a class discussion.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
After the students complete the questions within the Kahoot, any missed questions will be reviewed and any
questions the students have will be answered once the informal quiz is completed.
How will the data be used?
The data will be used as a ticket out the door to collect data in student knowledge in order to change
instruction if needed. Using Kahoot to monitor student progress, students are able to work in groups and
collaborate with their peers.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.
My personal learning goal for this activity is to gain insight on how well students work together to answer the
given questions. I feel it is important to know individual students’ knowledge, but it is also important to allow
students to work together with their peers to reach a common end goal, answering the question. I will use
the given responses to modify instruction if needed or move onto another topic within the standard.
Reflective Practice:
The activity created can impact student learning by reinforcing the expected learning outcomes. Instead of
giving a traditional pencil and paper quiz, students are given the opportunity to interact with technology and
collaborate with peers. Using this activity, the teachers are able to monitor student progress as well. This
activity can be extended by allowing groups to create their own 10 question Kahoot that can be given to the
class, creating their own quizzes for their peers.
