2018-2019 SEVENTH GRADE MATH  

SCOPE AND SEQUENCE

After utilizing the SAS for mid-November through December and reassessing student understanding of Units 1-4 and 
finding low performance across formative and summative assessments, I will instead focus on teaching content strands for 
the remainder of the school year to ensure I can fluidly re-teach previously-learned material prior to my arrival in the 
math classroom in a more organized manner, allow for students to develop skills within a single unit topic, and assess 
summatively first within a single unit and then across units in time for the school-wide February Interim Assessment. April 
29th marks the start of STAAR Prep and the proposed plan below allows a week worth of instruction in the calendar for 
flexibility. 
 
Previously learned topics and basic re-teach integration plan:  
 
Proportionality: Will be re-taught through Probability, Intervention, Data and Statistics  
Equations and Inequalities: Will be re-taught through Intervention  
Angle Relationships: Will be re-taught through Geometry  
Geometry: Complete re-teach necessary, lowest performing area of study
