DO: Greet the teachers and ask participants to

kinds of disasters. For this session, we will talk
about the different awareness and
preparedness for the different disasters that we
will encounter.
Hopefully, at the end of this LAC session, you
would be able to:

2. Provide the teachers the knowledge about
the Early Warning Signals
3. Recognize Preparedness with terms with
different kinds of Disaster

ACTIVITY
DO: The facilitator does the following:
1. Introduce the activity on “Disaster
Prepareness”
2. Instruct each group to select a leader and crayons
ask cartolina 30 minutes
the leaders to raise their hands for pentel pens
identification.
3. Distribute the sheets of cartolina, crayons,
and
pentel pens.
4. Ask each group to make a poster showing
a
picture/drawing of a disaster preparedness in
school.
5. After 20 minutes, ask the groups to post
their
output, and to get ready for presentation.
6. Give each group leader 2 minutes for the
presentation.
7. Thank all the presenters and the whole
group
for their outputs.

ANALYSIS
ASK: After the presentation of group outputs,
the
facilitator asks these questions:
1. How did you decide on the concept of your
poster and slogan? Did you have any 10 minutes
inspiration?
2. Were there opposing ideas? If yes, how did
you
come up with an agreement?
3. Did all the members of the group help in
your
output?
4. How did you encourage each member to say
something or contribute to the group output?
5. How would you describe your experience
while
doing the poster? Would you have come up
with
same output if you work individually? Why?

SAY: Based on our discussion, how do you

hashtag of yours in your own DRRM Corners.

ASK: Based on your hashtag, how do you


intend
to put it in practice in real life situations?

SAY: Oftentimes, we see statements about

We should follow and be aware about
these statements. As a teacher here in our
school we can do work hand and hand for we
can be safe all the time.
Let us always remind our students that we
should be more sensitive and serious with this
kind of issues.
