Who Moved My Cheese
By: Spencer Johnson
(MY REFLECTION)

It is so very beautiful parable entitled “Who moved my cheese” that teaches lessons to
the readers like us. The story consists of 4 characters. The two mice named sniff and scurry and
the 2 little people named Hem and haw. These 4 characters were in the maze finding a cheese.
The story is about change, and teaches us how to react on that change. There are troubles that
we will encounter when we don’t follow to that change in our lives. The cheese that the 4
characters want represents anything we want after in life and believing that it will make us so
very happy. The story details the trials we encounter in our daily lives.

The 4 characters that the parable contains show different kind of people in this world.
So we will start with the character named Haw. He decided that he needed to face his fears and
go out into the unknown place in the maze. Haw is kind of a person that is adaptable in time
when he saw that it will help him to become a better person. Haw represents a person who is
ready to face his fear for the sake of his/her goals in his/her life and a person that was so
adaptable on any different change. I learned that facing your fear is so important for you to be
able to reach your goals and to adapt at any different changes in your life. So the next one is
one of the 4 character in a parable entitled “Who moved my cheese” named Hem. Hem is a
kind of person who denies and resists change as he fears that will lead him to something worse.
Hem represents a person who always counters the change that is happening. A person with his
pride. I learned that we need to go with the flow because we can’t win against changes in our
lives. So the third one is one of the 4 character in a parable entitled “Who moved my cheese”
named Scurry. From his name Scurry, He is the one who always scurries into action which
means when a change comes he will run from it. I learned that running from the changes of
your life is not good action you can do. So the last one is one of the 4 character in a parable
entitled “Who moved my cheese” named Sniff. Sniff who sniffs out change easily. He can easily
determine or recognize the change that was happening for him to be able to overcome that.
I’ve learned that recognizing the change that was happening on you will help you to overcome
the change on you. As a conclusion, the most important lesson that I’ve learned is to be a
adaptable person to any change that was happening at you. But first love God and everything
will follow because when the Lord is in you every problem and changes in your life I’m sure you
will be able to overcome it. That’ my reflection about the parable entitled “ Who moved my
cheese” and I thank you. God Bless.
