Prastic waste pollution inland and in oceans is currently recognized to have reached criss level worldwide. Recently, Philipines ranks third Jamong the nations as the major source of plastic wastes (in terms of volume) of oceans ( Jambeck, etal. 2015; Ovean Conservancy IMckinsey Center for Business and Environment (2018). Itis therefore necessary to find alternative ways to curve plastic pollution by fining alternative application of less-recycled plastics lke plastic bags. One way to fx and utlized waste plastics isto use them as co-binder with loitumen in hotmix asphalt road pavements. Jwnile some counties tke india has been studying waste plasic-bitumen road pavement for some time, the said technology has not reached this country and thus necessitating this proposal to evaluate its sultabilty in asphalt road pavements in the Philippines and its sultabllty as a |means to mitigate plastic pollution in Zamboanga City.
