4.1 Introduction Preliminaries and daily routines: - Prayer, Checking of attendance
5 minutes Opening questions:
- How’s your vacation? (since first day of class)
- What made your summer exciting?
- Where/With whom did you spend your summer vacation?

Relate students’ answers to arrive to the roles in life then have students work on Initial Task 1 on page
3 of LM.

4.2 Activity a. Expound the idea about Roles in Life and have students watch a 2:30 minutes video entitled, “In
20 minutes Life”.

b. After watching the video, ask for follow up questions to process students’ understanding in relation to
the lesson about roles in life.
Questions:
- What have you seen in the video?
- What was it about?
- What is the video telling us?

c. Relate the content of the video to students’ initial tasks 2 and 3 activity on pages 3-4 of LM.
d. Explain how students are expected to accomplish the table and the graph.

e. Give students enough time to work on the table and the graph.
f. After specified time, ask students to form their group and come up with a consolidated group
reflection after sharing their outputs.
4.3 Analysis While in the group, ask students to answer the following questions:
5 minutes - What roles are common in your group?
- Choose top .3 roles in life then describe the qualities/characteristics of the person playing those
roles.
4.4 Abstraction a. After specified time, have a group representative to present their output.
10 minutes b. Process every idea/concept presented and deepen students’ understanding by asking these
questions:
- What roles do people at your age play?
- Which role do you think is easiest to take?
- Which role seem very challenging to you?
- Which role do you wish to play someday?
4.5 Application a. Have students accomplish Initial Task 4 Effective? Partially……Ineffective? in a short bond paper.
5 minutes b. Remind students about on the importance of confidentiality and respect for one’s personal life.

Group 3 – Looking for rhymes (page 10)
Group 4 – The best clue
Group 5 – Alliteration, Assonance, Consonance
