‘Arte’s Gallery’ is a reading of our

creations from a different point of

view. A sensitive view on our most recent

ideas as well as on our plans for the future.

Arte’s, SitLand’s most prestigious line, was

officially introduced this year at Emporio 31

in Milan. This exposition space, set as a

subterranean museum, transformed a ‘fringefair’

into one with more breathing-room.

An exhibition place carefully chosen –

elaborated through architect Portello’s sage

interpretation – and providing an ideal

opportunity for spotlighting SitLand’s

personality, concepts, and projects.

A firm always careful to propose solutions

that are in line with contemporary life’s

demands and dynamism, because it is convinced

that objects composing mankind’s living and

working environments have a profound impact

on people’s motivation, productivity and

well-being which are fundamental

elements of the quality of life.

The entire package represented in the Arte’s

line by SitLand yields high engineering stan-
dards and has a strong emotional impact via
its design and content. Office seating under-
stood in a glance, as sincere and real works
of industrial art.

This underground environ chosen by SitLand

for their unveiling, has been experienced as if
entering a subterranean museum that is best
described as tunnels of a cavern or mine –
where as substitution for precious metals,
technological goods had been deposited to
set a stage capable of evocatively wedding
together an elegant system of symbols, forms
and material.

The whole project was aimed at combining

harmony and contrast in an ambience where
walls

covered by graffiti and dressed by a loose fit-

ting impalpable metallic mesh are outshined
by the radiance of matter.

Space not only contains but becames the

content.

Spotlights on the Arte’s products suitably

enveloped branches of metal tubing,
contrasting with diffused lighting cast upon
walls and meshing, thereby underscoring
the separation between background and the
technological objects exhibited.

An ambience of neutrality and softness took

on a specific emotional function through the
use of adjustable lighting.

The result is the perception of a losy and

enwrapping environment, capable of
bestowing a prominent – almost mystical –
impression for the ‘museum’ star… Arte’s
range.

“Designers

constantly

confront

themselves with

different

aspects of creativity.

There is a creativity that can be called

artistic – this is art itself, without immediate

profit goals, created only by an urge to do

so. There is a creativity embedded in a

firm’s system – its organization and sense

of responsibility.

To achieve perfect results one needs a

corporate culture that allows space for

passion and fantasy – therefore enabling

an entrepreneur to be a Designer, and

viceversa.”
