To prohibit the Bureau of the Census from including citizen-
ship data in the legislative redistricting data prepared
by the Bureau.

1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 SECTION 1. EXCLUDING CITIZENSHIP DATA FROM PUBLIC

4 LAW 94–171 REDISTRICTING DATA.

5 Section 141(c) of title 13, United States Code, is

6 amended by adding at the end the following: ‘‘The Sec-
7 retary may not include any information regarding United
8 States citizenship in a tabulation of population reported
9 or transmitted under the preceding sentence.’’.
