AUSTIN, Texas, April 2, 2019 – The Career Collection, a nonprofit organization that strives to give less
fortunate women access to professional attire in order to succeed in the workplace, will be holding a
trunk and fashion show Saturday, April 6, for the public to view the merchandise for the first time.
The event will take place at 350 Monroe St. in Austin, and entrance will be free to all guests. The trunk
show will begin at 2 p.m. and will be followed by a fashion show at 6 p.m. that will highlight what the
company does by styling women and empowering them to feel confident and capable. The organization
hopes to bring awareness to the women who are being ignored in their search for employment simply
because they cannot afford to look the part.
“This event really embodies what The Career Collection does to support and empower all women, and
we are thrilled for everyone to see the resources available,” said Jilianne Scamperle, The Career
Collection CEO. “ We hope the trunk and fashion show will inspire not only women who need the
resources, but people who can offer support as well.”
Through donations of clothing, makeup, accessories and shoes, The Career Collection is able to style
financially troubled women of all ages with high-quality sophisticated looks that will ensure they are
given a fair chance in looking for a career. During the event, The Career Collection will be accepting
monetary donations as well as professional clothing. All proceeds will support the organization in its
efforts to help women reach economic growth, stability and independence.
