CHAPTER 3

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of data gathered in this
study. The data were organized using the tabular and contextual presentation
sequenced on the basis of the sub-problem posed in the study.

Profile of Respondents

Table 1 presents the back ground information about the profile of the Lupon
Tagpamayapa and the Brgy. Officials of Brgy. Tabon, in the province of Surigao del Sur.

The table shows that out of 20 respondents there are 9 or 45 percent of the total
respondents who ranged from 45-55 years old.

Table 1.2 shows that 75 percent of the total respondents are male and there are
only 25 percent who are female.

Table 1.3 shows that most of the respondents are Roman Catholic, however 10
percent of the total are Protestant.

The table 1.4 shows that 85 percent of the respondents are college graduate
while 15 percent of the total are college level.

Table 1.5 shows that out of 20 respondents 10 of them have a 5 years and up
years in service, while both 25% are 3-4 years and less than 1 year in Years in Service.

CHAPTER 4

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter contains the summary, conclusions, and recommendations of the

study.

SUMMARY

The study assessed the Effectiveness of Lupon Tagapamayapa Implementing

Barangay Justice System of Barangay Tabon, Bislig City in the province of Surigao del

Sur. The data gathered involved descriptive- survey using structures questionnaire and

Focus Group Discussion (FGD) using a grand tour open-ended question. The data were

analyzed using frequency count, percentage distribution, mean, and standard deviation
and one-way analysis of variables (ANOVA). The qualitative data elicited from the FGD

sessions were analyzed contently using the coding technique. The findings of the study

were serve as the basis for developing effectiveness of Lupon Tagapamayapa

implementing Barangay Justice System of Brgy. Tabon.

FINDINGS

On the basis of the data gathered, the following findings are summarized.

1. Out of 20 respondents 45 percent of them have a ranged of 45-55 years

old in terms of age, 15 or 75 percent of the respondents are male and 5 or 25 percent

are the female.

2. Out of 20 respondents 18 or 90 percent of them are Roman Catholic while

2 or 10 percent are Protestant, In terms in Educational Attainment 17 or 85 percent are

College Graduate while 3 or 15 percent are College Level.

3. In Years in Service out of 20 respondents are 10 or 50 percent are having

5 years and up years in service while both 5 or 25 percent are less than 1 year and 3-4

years in service.

4. In types of case 26.8 or 57 percent of case filed are mostly encountered,

on the other hand the status of case filed have 100 percent are resolved cased.

5. In problem encountered by the Lupon Tagapamayapa, all of them they

have mild problems which doesn’t required actions.

Recommendations

1. Conduct more training to enhance their skills in solving problems as well

as for the settlements of good two parties.

2. Conduct Barangay Justice System information dissemination during the

barangay assembly.

3. Upgrade their facilities to make their work easier.
