INSTRUCTIONS:
I. Look at the illustrations, read the term/descriptions, and do your best to familiarize with each hand signals
for volleyball referees and line judges.
II. Do the following exercises with your partner. Remember that your honesty and cooperation is expected in
accomplishing this worksheet.

Exercise 1.
1. Give your worksheet to your partner. Your partner will read from the worksheet the term of the hand signal,
and then you have to demonstrate how the hand signal is done.
2. Your partner will put a √ mark in the corresponding box in the Referee’s hand signal and Line judge’s
hand/flag signal column if your answer is correct, otherwise, she will mark it with X if you answered
incorrectly.
3. Change roles once you finish your turn in demonstrating hand signals.

Exercise 2.
1. Get your partner’s worksheet. Demonstrate the hand signal; your partner will try to guess the term for the
hand signal that you demonstrated.
2. Put a √ mark in the corresponding box in the TERM/DESCRIPTION column if your partner answered correctly.
Mark it with X if your partner answered incorrectly.
3. Change roles once your partner finishes her turn in guessing the hand signals you demonstrated.

III. Submit to the teacher at the end of the period.
