 Data analysis option in excel make add-ins than go at the last when window open check
statistical tool bar. This will be added in the data option of the excel top bars.
 Descriptive statistic, correlation and regressions were calculated in excel there by checking label
and worksheet ply and third one summary statistic also see this in excel.
 Remember the sign of correlation always bcz sign decides the relation amongst the variables.
Hence the value should not be greater than 1.
 Coefficient value should be between 0 till 1, as much greater the value the relation will be
indicative to its strength and weakness.
 Regression model is also run on it. Just put the check on the labels.
 R Square is coefficient of determination. Overall explanatory of your model.
 Means the model is created by you, to what extent the independent variable is explaining the
dependent variables.
 How much the independent variable is explaining dependent variable in percentile that is R
Square…
 Control variable is the effect is already there in previous researches. Need to be utilized in the
research specially finance side where number of variable have been checked that have effect in
previous research.
 Follow some theory. Resource base theory must be proposed by the researchers.
 If R square is very small so researcher need to be understand the background of study and find
out the other variable which can shoot the R square and then give justification for this values.
 In ANOVA table see the value of Significance F which has the hypothesis = Null hypothesis (all
coefficients are equal to zero).
 Y = a+bx + e
 b = coefficient / slope
 e = error term
 x = independent
 y = dependent
 same for multiple regression.
 F- Statistic say every coefficient hypothesis is equal to Zero.
 See the sign of beta either the value is positive of negative defines impact is either positive of
negative.
 Look at value of the Significance F in ANOVA table which should be smaller than 0.05. if the
value of significance F is less than 0.05, we reject the (Null hypothesis of All betas are equal to
zero).
 Null hypothesis for ANOVA b1, b2, b3……. Every beta is equal to zero.
 If this is less than less 0.05 so it means on or more than more betas is equal to zero. So model is
fit. Otherwise model is rejected. (Model barbad hogaya tabah hogaya if it is less than 0.05 as per
sir kashif qardri statement).
 3rd table is Coefficient Table. A+bx (intercept)
 Please see excel fill specially comments
 X t-statistic should be greater than 2
 P-value less than 0.05
 Null hypothesis: there is no impact of x on y:
 Beta = 0
 Must see the coefficient is significant or not.
 For rejected hypothesis see the value of T-statistic
 If t-statistic is more than 2 or p-value is less than 0.05 than independent variable has impact on
dependent variable or vice versa.
