Currently there are countless acts of discrimination towards lgbt community.

As this injustice has

existed ages,it occurs in the form of employment,opportunities to participate in sports and so on in
the lgbt community.This issue needs to be addressed by creating harsher penalties for those
discriminiting towars this community.

Transgender students also face an array of discrimination in schools, such as being forced into
using bathroom of their assigned gender and not being recognized by the school as the gender
that the student identifies with. This action is extremely demeaning and also poses the question
of what bathroom to use.
Another challenge is participating in sports, specifically the issue of students with varying
anatomies changing in the same locker room, although they both identify with a certain gender.
Thus, they are being excluded from using the locker rooms, these kind of actions may hurt the
feeling of a student. Even, some transgender athletes avoided athletics spaces because of
feeling uncomfortable or unsafe.
Queer people in the workforce, especially those who are transgender, experience a much greater
deal of discrimination than their cisgender counterparts. It is currently legal in few countries to fire
workers for being transgender. There was an incident in recent time where a man was fired from
his job for being a transgender despite working for nearly three decades in the funeral services.
Moreover, some people have been denied a job because of their gender identity and some had
to keep their identity hidden in order to maintain their job.

Homosexuals experiences discriminations mainly in schools and work environment.Historically and

currenty,lgb students and staff have felt unsafe because of their sexual orientation. Homosexuals are
being bullied by other students and also being physicaly and verbally harassed at school because of
their sexual orientation.

Other than that,homosexual discrimination also can be seen where LGBT characters in Marvel’s
source material, but for some reason, bringing those characters on screen has either been
avoided completely or done in a way that leaves their sexuality ambiguous. Moreover,
Malaysia tried to censor Beauty and Beast over some gay moments and also the censorship
in films and television programmes prove this.

EFFECT

These discriminations have increased depression and almost six fold increased risk of
suicide attempts of lgbt people. Students can also be higher risk for suicide if they have been
exposed to trauma, and bullying, or if they’re struggling at school. Lack of support, protection, and
guidance from family also has a major effect on LGBT youths. Perhaps, if their families were more
supportive, the suicide rates of LGBT youths would be moderately less. Moreover, this Will cause
extreme worry to an individual. Other than that, it results in anxiety, sadness, depression and a
feeling of guilt and emptiness. They may consume alcohol or drugs; it may develop a hatred for
others. This can affect them financially, may lose their job or quit school.

CONCLUSION

LGBT PEOPLE ARE EFFECTIVELY BEING LABELLED AS CRIMINALS AND AS A RESULT OF IT, THEY FACE
MANY DIFFICULTIES WHEN THEY ARE IN NEED OF LEGAL ASSISTANCE OR SOCIAL SUPORT. FOR
REST OF US NO MATTER WHO WE ARE THIS FIGHT SHOULD MATTER.WHEN ONE INDIVIDUALS
FREEDOM IS VIOLATED, EVERYONES RIGHTS ARE THREATENED.IF WE ALLOW TO DISCRIMINATE
PEOPLE ON THE BASIS OF THEIR SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND GENDER IDENTITY, WE ARE BASICALLY
PAVING THE PATH FOR TO DISCRIMINATE ON OTHER FRONTS TOO.LGBT RIGHTS ARE EVERYONES
RIGHTS.
