Statement Of Purpose

Computer Science is a rapidly emerging field. We are currently in the midst of a technological
and computing revolution that will drastically change our lives and potentially redefine what it
means to be human. I am very excited at the prospect of devoting my long-term career to such a
dynamic, fast advancing field. Ever since I was young, I have enjoyed dabbling with computers
and experimenting with different applications. Because my own lifetime has essentially
coincided with the rise of the modern computing industry, I can sense that there are still
tremendous developments to come in this field. It was natural for me to choose Computer
Science as my university major, and now, as I completed my undergraduate studies, it is my
central goal to continue my education in a more competitive, elite, and international
environment.

I have opted for "Computer Science Engineering" as my technical subject for undergraduate
study in TKR college of Engineering and Technology. I find my diligent study has taught me
very strongly, that there is a vast field that I must explore and master to achieve my goal to be
the best. Keeping in mind the growing importance of computers in every field , I gained
knowledge in technical subjects which included Software Engineering, Database Management
Systems, Computer Networks, Operating Systems , C programming, etc.My expertise to these
numerous Engineering subjects imbibed an interest to pursue further education in this field.

TKR college of Engineering and Technology is the institution where its primary objective is to
impart value-based education to the present and future generation.It works with a vision to strive
for excellence and constantly thrives to maintain the values such as Academic
excellence,Technical expertise and Leadership qualities.

As part of my final year curriculum, I have been assigned as project leader to work on various
projects. As a majorproject , I worked on "TIME DECAY MODEL FOR MINING
MAXIMAL FREQUENT ITEMSETS" .In order to avoid concept drift, distinguish recent
transactions from historical ones, discover compact pattern result set efficiently, and apply to
mine high dense transactions and long patterns, a novel algorithm is proposed.The main
programming language used for code development is Python.

I participated in various extracurricular activities in and outside the college. I have supplemented
my knowledge by attending various seminars held in different colleges. I also organized
Skhykr’16, a technical symposium conducted by TKR college of Engineering and Technology. I
was one of the student member ofComputer Society of India(CSI), the first and largest body of
computer professionals in India.It promotes various activities such as seminars, workshops,
conferences, symposium and many more.These made a possibility owing to my excellence in
communication skills, technical know-how, analytical aptitude and an intelligent outlook.
I always exhibited a high level of competency and proficiency in my schooling. I feel it a
privilege to particitipate in several academic competitions held at national level during my
school days. I also paticipated in sports competition such as running, chess held at district level.

I am very much interested to do MS in Computer Sciences in your esteemed university as it

would give me an opportunity to be at the crux of knowledge and research pertaining to the field
of computer science. Your graduate school is one of the top universities having fine record of
academic excellence and is backed up by expert faculty and research facilities due to which I
wish to continue my future studies at your university. I would fully utilize the resources that the
Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi provides, as I am particularly interested in the field
of Computer Sciences. My interests are perfectly aligned with the faculty of college of science
and technology.

The other reason why I want to be a part of your esteemed college because it provides the right
kind of exposure needed to broaden my thinking and also to undo biases of a narrow and
parochial view of the world which may be still prevalent in me. Your university is a confluence
of people from every nationality, religion and race. Constructive and comprehensive
development of my personality can be achieved and it helps me to broaden my concept from the
narrower confines of nationalism to Internationalism.

received from my seniors, who are alumni of the university, I am convinced that my ambitions

Systems colleges. High quality education, excellent methods of teaching, academic motivation in
students and the general perception around to excel have led me to seek admission in your
university. I think that having such a sound academic environment at a reputed university such as
yours, I will be able to explore my potential to the maximum.

The indispensable key to redefining frontiers in technology lies in the creation of better and new
