RESOLUTION NO. 210

A RESOLUTION
CONCURRING THE APPOINTMENT OF MRS. ELIZABETH E. PAGBILAO, MUNICIPAL
SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, THIS MUNICIPALITY.

WHEREAS, Article 119 of IRR Appointment of Appointive Local Officials:

a) Heads of offices and departments in the LGU’s shall be appointed by the local chief
executive concerned with the concurrence of a majority of all members of the
Sanggunian, subject to civil service laws, rules and regulations.

WHEREAS, Article 122, Qualification, Powers and Duties of Appointive Local officials:
provides:
a) The Social Welfare and Development Officer - (a) No person shall be appointed
Social Welfare and Development Officer unless she is a citizen of the Philippines, a
resident of the LGU concerned, of good moral character, a duly licensed social
worker or a holder of a college degree preferably in sociology or any other related
course from a recognized college or university, and a first grade civil service eligible
or its equivalent. She must acquired experience in the practice of social work for at
least five (5) years in the case of the provincial or city social welfare and
development officer, and three (3) years in the case of the municipal social welfare
and development officer.

WHEREAS, the appointment of Mrs. Elizabeth E. Pagbilao, Municipal Social Welfare and
Development Officer, is in order having met the minimum requirements provided by law.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Agerico S. Batenga, Chairman of the Committee on

Rules, Privileges, Ordinances and Legal Matters and duly seconded.

BE IT RESOLVED by this Sangguniang Bayan in session assembled, to confirm and

concur the appointment of Mrs. Elizabeth E. Pagbilao to the position of Municipal Social
Welfare and Development Officer.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution of confirmation shall be forwarded to
all agencies concerned for their information and perusal.

I certify that the above quoted resolution was unanimously adopted by this Sanggunian during
its regular session held on 10 November 2014.
