Level of awareness in Values Restoration Program Among Senior High School Students

Background of the study:

The theory of Basic Human values, developed by Shalom H. Schwartz, is a theory in the
field of intercultural research. The author considers the theory as an essential extension
of previous approaches to comparative intercultural research theories, such as the
Hoftede’s cultural dimensions theory, and has been extensively applied in cross-cultural
studies of individual values. The theory of Basic Human Values tries to measure
Universal Values that are recognized throughout all major cultures. Schwartz’s theory
identifies ten such motivationally distinct values and further describes the dynamic
relations amongst them. To better graphically portray these relationships, the theory
arrange the ten values in a circular structure. Human behavior is the response of
individuals or groups of humans.

Research need is defined as a gap that limits the ability of decision makers (policy-
makers,patients,practitioners) from making decisions. “I always like to use the term
practical gap and literature gap to better distinguish those.

Human behavior is the response of individual of groups of human to internal and

external stimuli. It refers to the array of every physical action and observable emotion
associated with individuals, as well as the human race. While specific traits of one’s
personality and temperament maybe more consistent, other behaviors will change as
one moves from birth through adulthood.

In addition to being dictated by age and genetics, behavior, driven in part by throughs
and feelings, is an insight into individual pshycs,revealing among others things attitude
and values. Social behavior a subset of human behavior,study the considerable
influence includes ethics,social environment authority persuasion and coercion.

Human values are for example,

respect,acceptance,consideration,appreciation,listening,openness,affection,empathy and

love towards other human being. It os with those human values that one becomes truly
able to put practice his/her ethical values, such as justice, integrity,refusal of violence
and ban to kill even in a crisis situation.

Human values convey a positive and affectivesness surge, which reinforces the
rationale of moral values. They are the values that permit us to live together in
harmony and personality contribute to peace

Human values is a tool to manage human relations and a lot for peace when the
tension is high. By supporting VRP, you become an advocate for values restoration and
moral recovery among government ranks. At present,several anti-corruption
organization such as Transparency International estimate cost of corruption inj the
Philippines at twenty percent of the annual gross national budget,which is a
conservative figure. If every single government employee will have consistent
knowlwdge and understanding of the effects of corruption then we can move on
forward as a country devoid of crooked and self serving politicians and government
officials. Imagine what this means to your children and the next generation to come.

Scope and Delimitation

This study focuses only in determining the level of awareness among Senior High
School students for the values restoration program of Ajuy National High School
Students for the first grading,first semester school year 2019-2020. This study is
boonded only on the level of awareness of Senior High School Students to the VRP for
the first semester.
