“ABC NOUNS”
Direction : The teacher make the students draw lots from two set of
cards, the first set containing letters from A-Z while the other set are
written with the words PERSON, PLACE, THING, ANIMAL or
IDEA. Each student should think of a word that starts with the letter
that they have drawn and matches with the word that they have drawn
before they take their seats and relate to the next topic
( E.g. M+Person= Mark.)

The visual map chart will define the term noun and explain the two
kinds of noun which is the Common Noun & the Proper Noun.

Group Activities:
The class will be divided into five groups, and they will be asked questions in three
levels of difficulty (the easy, moderate and hard). The team will garner the highest
number of correct points will win. They will be provided with an illustration board
and a chalk.

A. Count the number of Nouns in the following sentences? Do not include
pronouns. Write your answer before the number.
B. Underline the Nouns in the following sentences. Mark C for Common and P
for Proper

Direction: Write five examples of Common Noun and five examples of Proper
Noun.
