I – FIND THE AREA & PERIMETER OF ∆:

iii. The height of an isosceles ∆ is 15/√3, its vertex angle (∟between the two

xxv. A man runs along the diagonal of a rectangular ground at a speed of 7.2 km/hr for 1 min
40 sec & then covers the length in 1 min 20 sec, find the area of the rectangle in m2. Also
find the time taken by him to cover the entire perimeter.(excluding the diagonals)

xxvi. If the length of a rectangular plot is 17m more than breadth & numeric value of its area
is 106 more than its perimeter . Find its diagonal.

xxvii. The length & breadth of a rectangular plot is 40m & 30 m respectively. A path of uniform
width runs around inside such that its area is 264 m2. Find the width of the path.

xxviii. The rate for 1.25m wide carpet is Rs. 200 / mtr. Find the cost of covering a hall 4.5 m by
6.5m with this carpet.

xxix. The cost of fencing a rectangular plot is Rs.1550 @ Rs.25 / mtr. If its length is 24 m find
the cost of flattening it @ Rs.50 / m2.

VI – FIND THE AREA & PERIMETER OF SQUARE:

xxxviii. If half diagonal of a square is 10√2 cm; find its perimeter & area.

xxxix. A car has an option of going along the sides of a square to reach from X to Y or
along diagonal X to Y. How many km will it save if it travels diagonally? XY = 200√2 km

xxxx. PQRS is a square each side 15 cm, X is a point on QR such that area of ∆ PQX : area
of square PQRS is in the ratio 4 : 15. Find PX.

VII – FIND THE AREA & PERIMETER OF TRAPEZIUM:

xxxxi. The distance between 2 parallel sides of a trapezium is 20 cm & length of the line
joining the mid points of its non parallel sides is 36 cm. Find its area.
