 DESCRIPTION

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
 Develop in the students skills that allow them to identify the different categories and intonations to make some questions.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
 Through activities, students can recognize the question intonation and pitch according to the context.
 Reflect the importance of the topic it in the real context.

TOPIC: Wh – Question Intonation and Pitch


CONTENT(S):
Activities to recognize the different question intonation and pitch.
 Rising Pitch
 High Rising Pitch
 falling pitch
 PROCEDURES
STAGE ACTIVITIES TIMING

- The class will start with a brief greeting and will share a short activity like
warming up.

- Materials: Roulette
Five minutes
To motivate the class, the teacher will start with a fun activity, where the teacher

will tell his students that they must sit around the class room in a circle. Students
will find a roulette that will have written in each space, different moods and
appearances together with a paper, which they should turn one by one. When the
roulette stops each student will take a paper and will read the question intonation
with a marked pitch, and at the same time will imitating the quality that they take
out.

- Materials:
- A dice
- Paper board

- Teacher will give students a piece of paper with two different colors to each person
search the same color and form two teams. Then the teacher will put a paper board
with six different tokens numbered from one to six in front of each team. With a Fifteen Minutes
didactic dice, each group will throw it and will take a token of the paper board
WHILE according to the number that takes out. Inside each token, the students will read a
question correctly which will have the corresponding intonation marked and
quickly they will have classify the questions in one of the three statements (
meaning of Rising Pitch, High Rising Pitch, falling pitch) that will be in front of
them. The team that correctly organizes the questions will be the winner.
Materials:
- A hooter

- To finish the class, the same teams will listen carefully some questions intonations
POST that the teacher will reproduce on the computer. The student of each team that first Ten Minutes
identifies which category corresponds will run and will take the hooter and will tell
the appropriate category of question intonation. If the answer is correct, the team
will obtain a point, if it is incorrect, the other team will have the option to answer
correctly and obtain a point.
