Rationale of the Project:

[Name of School] is a secondary school located in [School Address]. It is composed of

______ school personnel and ______ students. Considering its large population, recording and
monitoring of school activities including attendance, and others using the traditional paper-and-ink
system is somehow difficult.

With the technological progress in our society, this paper-and-ink system of recording and
monitoring is no longer timely and is effort-consuming. Hence, most institutions are already using
the automated system nowadays. This system makes work more accurate and even easier.

It is for these grounds that the Computerized System for Student Gate Access Monitoring
System using SMS Technology came into existence. This system provides a wide range of benefits to
the school administration, teachers, parents and students as well. Foremost, it offers security of
information stored in its database due to its password protected access. It can also provide
parents/guardian with a close recording and monitoring of students’ in and out of the campus with
its SMS Notification Feature.

The system also has an SMS Broadcasting Feature for disseminating information about
various school activities, calls for assembly/meeting and even request for parent-teacher conference.

Specific Objectives: To provide a Computerized System of Attendance Monitoring

with SMS Notification
To provide SMS Broadcasting for information disseminations

Sustainability Plans:
The proponent will conduct a seminar and workshop for the School’s Project In-charge
regarding the operation of the system. There will also be a monthly monitoring and maintenance
scheme to be done every end of the month.

Expected Output:
- The students will be able to experience the Technology Based Gate Access System and
cutting classes and absences can be reduced or avoided.
- The parents will have self- satisfaction knowing that the student is in the school and can
easily monitor their in and out of the school premises
- The advisers can easily monitor the attendance of the student and generate attendance
report daily, weekly, and monthly.
The school administration can promote the school as the first public national high school
implementing the Computerized System for Gate Access and Student Billing Information.
