Many of us are studying 1st and 2nd Timothy and Titus in
our LifeGroups this quarter. This past Sunday we learned
that our confidence as Christians comes from Christ Jesus.
Paul encouraged the young pastor, Timothy that because
of this confidence he could stand firm and strong in the
midst of opposition and even persecution. Paul, under the
inspiration of the Holy Spirit, penned these words “...I am
not ashamed (of the gospel of Jesus Christ), for I know
whom I have believed and am persuaded that He Is able
to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” (2
Timothy 1:12 NKJV)
Hopefully, we will never suffer the persecution that Paul
and many in the early church faced, but even if we do we
can remain confident that Christ is with us, regardless of
what the world may say about us or what Satan may do
to us!
Gene Kim has done an excellent job of bringing two pow-
erful messages from the book of Jude which underscore
this confidence that can only come from knowing Jesus
Christ as our Lord and Savior. I look forward to the
remaining two messages that he will bring from Jude in a
few weeks. Cleve Mallory will bring our next two Sunday
messages and I know you will support Cleve as you have
Gene and myself.
I want to thank Rhonda Seay and Marti Richardson and all
who helped them make Bro. Mike and Connie’s reception
a great success. The two hour reception turned out to be
three hours and I thank everyone for turning out for this
special occasion. A maple tree was planted last week on
the property between the worship center and the basket-
ball court in honor of Bro. Mike and a dedication plaque
placed next to the tree.
We still need volunteers for unfilled weeks for our 10:30
Preschool Worship hour. Thank you to all those who
signed up this past week!
We have an August 18 starting date for Financial Peace
University (FPU). If you have never taken this course I
highly recommend it. More information about FPU is up-
coming.

Jumpin’ with Jeremy - & Your Preschool Teachers
Saturday July 20th from 8:30 - 10:00 am. Cost - $5 per
jumper. A parent with tots to 6 years old (older siblings
are invited to come jump)
Summer Series in the Word - 4th – 6th graders on
Tuesdays, 6-8 pm. Check 252@Eastmont for further info.
M3—Montgomery, Missions & More - July 29 - August 2.
9 am - 4 pm. Day camp of missional learning and activities.
Bring a lunch. Kids of all ages welcome (adult sponsor
needed for 2nd grade and younger)
Back to School Splash - August 4th
Good Times Branch, Bell Road YMCA from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
No cost, but RSVP required through our First Look and

adult goes down the water slide this year!

RA and GA Water Wars (kids bring your own water guns)
on the basketball court. Mission Friends Teddy Bear Picnic
inside. Ages 2-5 wear pajamas and bring a teddy bear to
donate.
WMU One Day Training - August 17
Training for teachers in Mission Friends, Girls in Action and
Royal Ambassadors will be held in Prattville at the Ala-
bama Baptist State Board of Missions from 9:00 am until
12:00 pm. Transportation and registration cost will be pro-
vided, but RSVP is required.

Forever Young
Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 10:00 am in Fellowship Hall
(note location change). Our Special guest will be the
Eastmont Student Choir. A covered dish meal will follow
program.
Senior Adult Cruise:
Need everyone to complete the Online Check-In as soon
as possible. Make sure “Complete” is across from your
name and also your roommate’s name. Click on view/
print Docs, this will give you your luggage tags. Please call
Ashley or Billy to confirm your online registration. Once
everyone is registered, boarding passes will be printed.
John Knox is looking for some part-time caregivers who
can sit with a patient or prepare a meal. If interested

We have an opportunity to help with parking at River-
walk Stadium for Biscuits games. Families who serve earn
money toward Summer Mission Trip and Super Summer
& Winter Retreat. Sign up for available slots through the

SPEAK Conference, July 19-20
Eastmont will host this year's SPEAK Conference. The
cost for Eastmont students to attend is $30. If you
attend Super Summer your cost will be $15. You may sign
up to attend by following the link posted on our student
Facebook page.

it to Cleve or Karen by Wednesday, August 14th. Appli-

SEVEN-UP SUNDAY
Sunday, July 28, we will host a special lunch at 12:00 p.m.
in Room 205 for upcoming 7th Grade students and fami-
lies. We will unveil a calendar of events as well as ad-
dress and answer any and all questions concerning East-
mont Student Ministry.
SLIP-N-SLIDE JULY 28
Sunday evening, July 28, all 7-12 grade students are invit-
ed to join us at the church for our annual Slip-N-Slide.
There is no cost, but ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A
SIGNED, NOTARIZED WAVER!! Waivers are available
upstairs and upon request.

This conference is open to all men, not only deacons. Cost
