Dear Parents,
So here we go flip flopping into the summer vacation with an interesting and innovative list of
activities especially designed for our Junior Kindergarten. This is an integrated project that
connects all subjects seamlessly. Kindly guide your child through these activities. Encourage the
child to do the activities independently, bit by bit through the summer vacation.
So let’s follow:
➢ Motivate the child to use English as a medium to converse and teach him/ her to use easy
words like May I? Thank you, please etc.
➢ Go for nature walks early in the mornings. Feel the fresh air.
➢ Water the plants and feed the birds.
➢ To enhance their creative talent, motivate them to draw / paint.
➢ Encourage your child to eat healthy food and drink lots of water during summer. Also read
any moral story to the child and help him/her in understanding the value of helping and
sharing with each other

CUT THE PICTURES AND STICK IN THE APPROPRIATE BOXES:
Help your child learn the correct formation of numbers by making number cards as given in
the provided picture of size…….allowing them to trace the number and learn an interesting
rhyme along with it. One number can be done in a day so that they learn better. This will also
help them develop their sequential counting ability and number recognition.
Let your child explore their creativity & imagination through this pattern game. Provide
them with an A4 sheet paper or a small chart with various patterens such as Zig Zag lines or
waves drawn on it. Give them colourful cutout & let them paste it on the provided sheet.
Guide them to make different colour patterens as they stick the paper cutouts, such as:

SAFETY SKILLS:
A fun hands-on way to teach children how to dial important phone numbers.
Make a call dialer using chart paper ask the child to pat on numbers of the phone number,
repeat it every day.The goal of this activity is for your child to practice tapping numbers, like in
the order of a phone number. These simple activities will give your kids a key tool to keep them
safe in case of such an emergency.
SYMMETRY PICTURE DRAWING:Learning about symmetry is a great way to help kids increase
their observation skills and practice recognizing patterns, which are important skills needed
in math and reading.
COLOUR –BY –NUMBER: Little learners will build number sense skills while
also working up an appetite in this delicious fruit-themed colour by
number worksheet.
FINGERPRINT CATERPILLAR: These fingerprint caterpillars are super cute to make when
working on number sense or counting lessons
EVS
U.A.E
Kindergarten classes are the classes where kids gain confidence by attaining perfection in both,
fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Most of the kids don't face problem with gross motor
skills-- such as running or jumping – but face difficulty in mastering the fine motor skills such as
coloring, painting, sorting, matching or writing. It is important to make sure your child is
continually improving these skills. Here are some educational activities to try at home to build
up fine motor control.
Activity# 1. Build a Puzzle

Children can make the puzzle with the help of their parents by reusing the bottle caps/straws
and playing with their parents and family members to spend quality time with them.
Activity# 2. Let’s Explore UAE

As “year of Tolerance” is being celebrated in all over UAE. Children will recap about the national
identity of UAE by coloring and doing some art/craft work on the pictures related to UAE ( Flag,
Ghaf tree, Arabian Oryx and AbuDhabi Mosque).
Note: There will be a class discussion and Quiz related to the topic knowing UAE where the
students will be assessed based on their performance.

ART & CRAFT

Let us encourage our little ones to help protect the environment by reusing the
waste to make unique pieces of art (any one) which can be further used for story
time session with your ward. You may assist and help them get things together.

Encourage them to speak few lines about the project as they will be made to speak in EVS class.

We wish our little ones, a great vacation!

Enjoy and take care.

With Love
