USING THE TOLERANCE AT EJECTION SPREADSHEET

1. Click on the GREEN cell and choose Deg F or Deg C on the data sheet.

2. Using a fast response IR or Contact pyrometer immediately read the temperature of ejected part. Take an
average of at least ten (10) parts to get a representative sample.

3. Look up the material and cross referance to your print tolerance for inspection dimensions. Use an industry
standard book to referance the dimensions. (Society of the Plastics Industry, STANDARDS AND PRACTICES
OF PLASTICS MOLDERS, USA)

4. ADD cooling time if the part is too hot, REDUCE cooling time if part is too cool in accordance to the tolerance
required. The hotter the part the wider the dimensional variation and vice versa.

NOTE -- ALL MATERIALS ARE NOT LISTED ON THIS CHART. THIS IS TO BE USED FOR REFERANCE
ONLY BECAUSE OF VARIATIONS IN MOLD DESIGN, COOLING EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL FILLERS
THIS IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AN ABSOLUTE REFERANCE, MERELY A GUIDE.
