3. The Crowning with Thorns:
Remember, O most gracious Virgin
Mary, that never was it known that
anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine
intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto
thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the
Word Incarnate, despise not my
petitions, but in thy mercy hear and
answer me.
THE ROSARY MYSTERIES
The Joyful Mysteries
1. The Annunciation: The Archangel
Gabriel "announces" to Mary
that she shall conceive the Son of
God.
2. The Visitation: Mary visits her
cousin Elizabeth, who is pregnant
with John the Baptist.
3. The Nativity: Jesus is born.
4. The Presentation: Mary and
Joseph "present" Jesus in the
Temple where they meet
Simeon.
5. The Finding in the Temple: After
losing Him, Mary and Joseph find
young Jesus teaching the Rabbis
in the Temple.
The Luminous Mysteries
1. The Baptism in the Jordan: The
voice of the Father declares Jesus
the beloved Son.
2. The Wedding at Cana: Christ
changes water into wine, his first
public miracle.
3. The Proclamation of the
Kingdom: Jesus calls to
conversion (cf. Mk 1:15) and
forgives the sins of all who draw
near to him.
4. The Transfiguration: The glory of
the Godhead shines forth from
the face of Christ.
5. The Institution of the Eucharist:
Jesus offers the first Mass at the
Last Supper with his apostles,
establishing the sacramental
foundation for all Christian living
The Sorrowful Mysteries
1. The Agony in the Garden: Jesus
sweats water and blood while
praying the night before his
passion.
2. The Scourging at the Pillar: Pilate
has Jesus whipped.
Roman soldiers crown Jesus'
head with thorns.
4. The Carrying of the Cross: Jesus
meets His mother and falls three
times on the way up Calvary.
5. The Crucifixion: Jesus is nailed to
the cross and dies before His
mother and His apostle John.
The Glorious Mysteries
1. The Resurrection: Jesus rises
from the dead.
2. The Ascension: Jesus leaves the
Apostles and bodily "ascends" to
heaven.
3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit:
The Apostles receive the Holy
Spirit in tongues of fire in the
upper room with Mary.
4. The Assumption: Mary is taken
bodily--assumed--into heaven by
God at the end of her life here on
earth.
5. The Coronation: Mary is crowned
Queen of Heaven and Earth.
PRAYER TO TAKE AUTHORITY
In the name of Jesus, I take authority
and I bind all powers and forces in the
air, in the ground, in the water in the
underground, in the netherworld in
nature and in fire.
You are the Lord over the entire
universe and I give You the glory for
your creation. In Your Name , I bind all
the demonic forces that have come
against us and our familiers, and I seal
all of us in the protection of Your
Precious Blood that was shed for us
on the cross.
Mary our Mother, we seek your
protection and intercession with the
Sacred Heart of Jesus for us and our
families and surround us with your
mantle of love to discourage the
enemy.
St. Michael and our Guardian Angels,
come to defend us and our families in
the battle against all the evil ones that
roam the earth.
In the Name of Jesus, I bind and
command all the powers and forces
of evil to depart right now away from
us, our homes and our lands. And we
thank You Lord Jesus, for You are a
faithful and compassionate God.
Amen.
CLEANSING PRAYER
Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus
Christ our Lord and Savior, by the
power of the Holy Spirit, we pray that
the cleansing power of the precious
blood of your Son come upon us right
now.
Purify us and wash us clean with the
Blood of Jesus from the top of our
head down to the very sole of our
feet.
Let this blood penetrate up to the
very marrow of our bones to cleanse
us from any entanglement from
whatever spirit we come in contact
with during the course of our
intercession.
Anoint us with the gifts of the Holy
Spirit and refresh our body, soul and
spirit. May the sign of Your Holy Cross
drive away all evil spirits from us. In
the name of the Father, and the Son
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
PROTECTION PRAYER
Righteous Father, I ask You to help me
see the Enemy when he attacks so
that I can recognize when he does. I
know that I fight an invisible foe who
is stronger than I. I am wrestling not
against flesh and blood but against
the powers of darkness and the rulers
of evil, against the authorities, against
the cosmic powers in the present age.
I understand that I am fighting against
the spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly places (Eph 6:12). Thank
You, God, for providing the armor I
will need today and every day,
including the breastplate of
righteousness You provided, the belt
of truth, the shield of faith, the
helmet of salvation, and the sword of
the Spirit, which is Your Word (Eph
6:13-17). In the Mighty Name of Jesus
I pray. Amen.
