PARTICIPATION TO AMMUNGAN FESTIVAL 2019

I. SUMMARY

A showcase of not just the different local products of the CBO’s but also
empowering and capacitating the CBO’s in integrating sustainability in the
implementation of livelihood projects. Through the collaboration and partnership
with the Provincial Cooperative Affairs Office (PCAO) of the province of Nueva
Vizcaya, the Community Based-Organizations(CBO’s) assisted by FCF Minerals
Corporation through its Social Development and Management Program(SDMP)
was able to put-up display booth for their various livelihood products during the
Agro-Trade Fair on May 19-26 , 2019. The trade fair is an annual activity of
Ammungan Festival that highlights products from different municipalities of Nueva
Vizcaya, guest exhibitors from different province were also given the chance to
promote and sell their local products.

Through this market matching activity, the CBO’s were able to promote, find
the right market niche and potential buyers of their products.

The products that were displayed included banana chips, veggie chips,
salted egg, hammock, baskets, walis tambo, sweets, candies and others.

Participating CBO’s showed pride in promoting their local products by


having free tastes on processed products.

Responsible mining was advocated through this conducted promotional


campaign and public awareness on the various livelihood projects being infused to
the different Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to guest and visitors at the
display booth. There were about one-hundred seventy nine (179) guest and
visitors at the FCF-CBO’s booth.

This activity that started May 19-26 gave an opportunity to 9 organizations


to be exposed in exhibits and learn marketing strategies.

CBOs were able to network with others and grow their customer base
through establishing market linkages and outlet of their products. Two (2) potential
buyer of veggie products of Darubba Livelihood Womens Association is the Slon
Chips Producers of Solano and one from Bayombong.

As the Runruno project progresses, the company will continue to strengthen


its community relations activities to provide ongoing support to those within the
project area such as providing them financial assistance in promoting their
products and to establish market linkages through participation to trade fair and
exhibitions.
II. ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED
The following were the activities that were undertaken;

Displaying the different products of the CBO’s May 19-26, 2019
Conducted free tastes of processed products May 19-26, 2019
Delivery of relevant information regarding SDMP to May 19-26, 2019
interested individuals and visitors during the exhibit.
Dismantling of booth May 27, 2019

Capacity Building & Empowerment of 16 CBOS- Market matching activity during the
Ammungan Festival on May 18-26, 2019. Visitors were able to have a free tastes on
processed products of CBO’s
