SHORT ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE

Applications are invited on the prescribed Application Form for the temporary positions
of Young Professionals (YPs) to be engaged on contract basis, to facilitate implementation of
the new quality initiatives under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA – II) in the
University of Jammu SPV Foundation. The Young Professionals (YPs) are required in the
following areas:

1. YP (Skills)
2. YP (Incubation)
3. YP (Innovation)
4. YP (Entrepreneurship)
5. YP (Industry-Academia Interface)
6. YP (Administration)
7. YP (Accounting)
8. YP (Communication)
9. YP (Research)

DETAILED ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE

Applications are invited on the prescribed Application Form for the temporary positions of Young
Professionals (YPs) to be engaged on contract basis, to facilitate implementation of the new quality
initiatives under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA – II) in the University of Jammu SPV
Foundation.

Details of Positions:

1. YP(Skills):The YP is expected to have complete knowledge on skill development ecosystem,


vocational education including all relevant government schemes. The YP is expected to assist in
preparing plans, developing and coordinating holding of skill development programmes &
undertaking any activity as may be assigned to him/her from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria:
· B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / IT / Computers / Chemical / Engineering
Management with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade and with atleast 2 years relevant
experience post qualification.
OR
· Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade in Management/Commerce/
Tourism/Computer Applications/ Engineering/ Technology with atleast 1 year relevant
experience post qualification.

2. YP (Incubation) & YP (Innovation): The YPs are expected to assist in developing strategies&
facilitate in creating a culture of promoting incubation and innovation. They are expected to
have knowledge of business development/IPR/relevant government schemes etc.

Eligibility Criteria:
· B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / IT / Computers / Chemical /
Engineering Management with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade with atleast 2 years
relevant experience post qualification.
OR
· Master’s degree with minimum 55% or its equivalent grade in the discipline of
Science/Mathematics/Computer Applications/Management / Social Sciences/ Engineering/
Technology with atleast 1 year relevant experience post qualification.

3. YP (Entrepreneurship) & YP (Industry – Academia Interface): The YPs are expected to


manage the activities of Entrepreneurial Development including coordination & liaison with the
budding entrepreneurs, industry, government and local community. The YPs should have
relevant experience in project planning, business plan creation, grant writing etc.

Eligibility Criteria:
· B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / IT / Computers / Chemical / Engineering
Management with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade with atleast 2 years relevant
experience post qualification.
OR
· Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade in
Management/Commerce/Tourism/Social Science/Computer Applications / Science with
atleast 1 year relevant experience post qualification.
4. YP (Administration): The YP is expected to be well versed in handling administrative works &
provide support in the areas of purchases/stores/human resource development/planning/grant
writing etc.

Eligibility Criteria:
· Master’s degree in any discipline with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade along with
atleast 1 year relevant experience post qualification.

5. YP (Accounting): The YP is expected to be well versed in handling accounts.

Eligibility Criteria:
· Master’s degree in Commerce/Finance/ICWA with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent
grade along with atleast 1 year relevant experience post qualification.

6. YP (Communication): The YP is expected to prepare /execute/ handle communication strategy


including internal communication / marketing (including social media marketing) / public
relations etc.

Eligibility Criteria:
· Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade in Management/Commerce/
Tourism / Social Sciences/ Computer Applications / IT / English with atleast 1 year relevant
experience post qualification.

7. YP (Research): The YP is expected to assist in creation of research ecosystem and be well


versed with various research related softwares and equipments. He should be able to prepare
research proposals and assist in grant writings.

Eligibility Criteria:
· PhD in any discipline and should also have atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade at the
Master’s level with atleast 1 year relevant experience post qualification.

2. Preference shall be given to candidates with M.Phil/Ph.D. research experience, published
papers.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory.
4. The applicant must have excellent oral & written communication skills.
5. The applicant must possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects and work in
a team oriented environment.
6. Application forms should be accompanied with self attested copies of qualification certificates/
testimonials including experience certificates issued by the Competent Authority.

General Terms & Conditions:


1. Age limit: Candidates should be less than 35 years of age as on date of publication of this
advertisement.
2. The engagement will be initially till March, 2020, extendable by another year, upto a maximum
period of 02 years from the date of initial appointment, subject to availability of funds and
requirement of University of Jammu SPV Foundation.
3. Consolidated emoluments @ Rs.70,000/- per month will be paid.
4. Depending upon the requirements of the University of Jammu SPV Foundation, the services of
the candidates can be utilized in other areas/offices as deemed appropriate by the authorities.
5. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post are required to fill separate application
form.
6. If the number of applications received in response to this advertisement in respect of any of the
positions is large, the University of Jammu SPV Foundation may shortlist the candidates on the
basis of qualifications and/or experience higher than the minimum prescribed.
7. The interview letters shall be sent by email. The UOJSPV Foundation shall, however, not be
responsible for any lapse.
8. Applications received late or on plain paper or incomplete in any respect will not be entertained.
9. Candidates invited for the interview(s) will have to present themselves for interview at Jammu
at their own expenses alongwith all original documents/certificates.
10. Candidates selected for appointment will have to produce the original documents relating to
their age, qualifications, experience and fitness, etc., before joining the position to which they
are appointed.
11. Impersonation or submission of false / fabricated / tampered documents or making incorrect /
false statements by a candidate, will, in addition to debarring him / her permanently or for a
specific period from any employment in the University, shall also render him/her liable for
criminal prosecution.
12. Canvassing in any form by or on behalf of the candidate will lead to disqualification.
13. The UOJSPV Foundation reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised, if
circumstances so warrant, without assigning any reason thereof and numbers of vacancies may
increase or decrease at the time of selection process.
