Professional Profile
I am eager to bring elementary students into the twenty-first century using a unique combination
of education experience coupled with ten years of business background in leadership and
quality management. I am dedicated to enthusiastic and dynamic teaching as a means of
creating and nurturing a lifelong love of knowledge.
Employment
As the fourth grade teacher I have fostered my students success by ensuring my classroom has
a rich data culture. By empowering students to look at their data and learning trends I facilitate
growth through the students positive mindset. In addition, I have created curriculum mapping for
math, science, social studies, religion, and English language arts. From the mapping stage I
strategically create project based lessons that will be engaging and require students to use their
skills within a deeper level of knowledge. The lessons I implement are cross-curricular and end
with the scholars presenting a product that displays their mastery of the content. After school
four days a week I lead supplementary tutoring with specialized instruction in all subject areas
for students with specific learning needs. For the 2017-2018 school year I piloted and
implemented Next Generation Science Standards. I serve as a subject matter expert for the
STEM implementation.
In the absence of the regular classroom teacher I help students with the subject matter and or
skills that are required for the scheduled lessons. I strive to provide meaningful instruction for
the assigned classroom while ensuring that all students are engaged and active in the learning
process.
