Watts Series BF Double Flanged U-section Butterfly Valves are available in 30", 36", 42" and 48" sizes (7501200 mm) tapped lug body design. These valves were designed to meet the stringent requirements of HVAC, Irrigation, OEM, Commercial and Industrial applications, and wherever positive shutoff is required to control the flow of liquids, gases, and slurries. Incorporating a 150 psi (10.3 bars) pressure rating 30"48" (7501200 mm), the Series BF is standardly constructed of a ductile iron body, aluminum bronze, ductile iron, or 316 SS disc and 431 SS shaft. An aluminum backing prevents the seat from collapsing or dislodging. 48" valves have carbon steel backing. Standard seat material is EPDM. Standardly supplied with a gear operator, the Series BF-03 30"-48" (7501200 mm) mounting pad complies with ISO 5211 and can easily accommodate electric or pneumatic actuators. The Watts series BF 30"48" (750 200 mm) butterfly valves are designed and manufactured for use with ANSI 125 or 150 class flanges and comply with API 609 and MSS-SP-67.

FEATURES
Gear Operators Manual, worm-gear operators are standardly supplied on all 30"48" (7501200 mm) BF series butterfly valves. ISO 5211 mounting pad easily accepts electric or pneumatic actuation. Shaft Dual 431 stainless steel shaft design reduces seat friction to provide longer service life. Shaft Seal Bi-directional shaft seal prevents external contamination of stem area and provides a back up for the primary shaft seal formed by the disc/seat interface. Shaft Bushings Lubricating bronze bushings (3) provide shaft support for proper shaft alignment and minimize shaft deflection. Body Watts BF Series 30"48" (7501200mm) Double Flanged U-Section Butterfly Valves are available in full lug type designed for use between ANSI 125 and 150 flanges. Face-to-face dimensions comply with API-609 and MSS-SP-67. The standard material is ductile iron ASTM-A563. Disc Disc edge is machined and polished 360 to assure leaktight shutoff while minimizing operating torque. Positive disc-toshaft connection is provided by stainless steel precision taper pins that are vibration proof. Seat Metal backed, non-collapsible, resilient seat is mechanically secured to provide dead-end service to the full 150 psi (10.3 bars) pressure rating. Seat face eliminates the need for flange gaskets. Full 360 sealing isolates the body components from the media and provides the primary shaft seal. Standardly supplied in EPDM.
