e nearly all arrived at Berkeley
Yacht Club on Friday following a
smooth run from Napa. Friday
we joined the BYC for a lasagna dinner and
games night. Saturday cocktails were served
aboard “Grand Cru” where we were joined by

For the first time, we are going to


try to join the Christmas Tree lighting festivities in
downtown Napa at Veteran’s Park by bringing our lighted
boats downtown on November 24. Boats meet at the club
at 5 pm; depart for downtown at 5:45 pm. The Mayor
will light tree at 6:45. We’ve been requested to make
noise when the tree lights. Note: High water is +6.1’ at
2:33 pm and Low Water -0.9’ at 10:05 pm. WE WILL
HEAD OUT AS SOON AS WATER IS DROPPING. We’ll
cancel if weather is bad. I need every participant’s
phone number where they can be reached that evening.

Father’s Day in June found the Commodore’s
Cruise to Petaluma with nine cruisers. Land Cruis-
ers brought the total to 42 members who toured
Keller’s Winery and antique car collection. I picked
out my Christmas gift.

Recreational Boaters of California (RBOC) represents the interests of recreational boat-


ers in the Legislature. The Pacific Inter-Club Yacht association (PICYA) is an association
of yacht clubs that provides education programs for club officers and directors, programs
such as the Wheelchair Regatta and Opening Day on the Bay. Club annual dues ($240)
have been at the same level since 2007.

Dues are due January 1, 2011 and are delinquent February 1, 2011. Delinquency fee is
$50. The 2011 roster will be published based on the dues received prior to March 1, 2011.
