1. INTRODUCTION
Energy Equity EPIC (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd where is located in South Sulawesi, intends to expand their
plant capacities to fulfill increasing sales gas demand for Sengkang Power Station. It includes
expanding Central Processing Plant (CPP) in Kampung Baru and Patila Metering Station (PMS) in
Sengkang.
Sengkang Power Plant has expanded by installing additional steam and gas turbines to produce total of
315 MW in order to meet increased electricity demand in South Sulawesi as requested by PLN. It is
equivalent with 60 MMscfd sales gas required as fuel for electricity generation.
Currently, CPP Kampung Baru Gas Plant (2 Train) has under required capacity of 70 MMscfd. The
further development will require to maintain pressure in delivery point of gas sales since depletion
pressure of well occur. Gas compresor will be utilized to increase pressure at inlet amine system and
maintain pressure at delivery point of sales gas.
Gas Compressor will be utilized of each train (2 running/1 backup). One stage gas compressor will be
operated to increase pressure in delivery point of sales gas 410 psig and will be installed after separation
system or before amine system

2. OBJECTIVE
The Site visit report is intended to describe result of site visit at CPP Kampung Baru Gas Plant, Energy
Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty Ltd.

4. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kampung Baru Gas Plant have 3 gas wells, KB-4a, KB-6a and KB-8 which produced total 60 MMscfd.
Gas from wells is flowed to Central Processing Plant (CPP) Train-1 and Train-2. After gas processed in
CPP, gas is flowed to Patila metering Station (PMS) through 29 km pipeline to buyer PT. Energy
Sengkang, PLN and Pertamina.
At current condition, pressure is production Separator around 350-600 psig and pressure in delivery
pressure around 350-400 psig whereas minimum pressure of gas specification in delivery point and to
keep performance of amine system and glycol system.
3 unit Gas Compressor Package will be installed with each capacity 35 MMscfd. They will be designed
to compressor gas from 240 psig to 750 psig. The Compressor-1 is dedicated for train-1, and
Compressor-1 is dedicated for train-2. The Compressor-3 will be used as back up for both of train
whereas interconnection lines from/to both train are provided.
All utilities for Gas Compressor packages will be supplied from dedicated existing utilities from each
train.
Extension fire water main ring and fire water monitor will be provided around Gas Compressor
packages area for fire protection.
