Connecting to a Wireless Network – Example

● In the lower right hand side on your laptop screen (near the time in your taskbar), you will
see your wireless signal icon.
● Single left click on the icon and it should show you available wireless networks in your area.

Identifying Network Passwords

● If you are working from home, you’ll need to know your home wireless network name (SSID) and
security key in order to complete the following steps. If you do not know these, sometimes they can
be located on your home router or you may need to contact your internet service provider to walk
you through obtaining this information.

● If you are in the office, typically the CAGUEST password is comeonin.

○ If CANET asks for a username and password then there are one of two possibilities:

■ Your computer has not been added to our domain and needs to be added to
continue, or

■ Your computer has been added to our domain, but your computer login will need to
sync with your domain credentials.

○ Please contact the Help Desk if you have either of these issues so they can get this escalated
to the School Service Desk for assistance. The Help Desk can be reached by calling
855-330-4636, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. (ET) to 6 p.m. (ET).

○ Your PIN from Connexus will be verified, an IssueAware (IA) ticket will be made, they will
provide you with the IA ticket number, and you’ll be escalated to the School Service Desk.

○ Please have your IA ticket number ready when being escalated to the School Service Desk
so they can assist you as efficiently as possible.

For questions, please contact the Help Desk: 1-855-330-INFO or humanresources.OBL@pearson.com.

sent by mistake for up to 30 seconds.

5. Websites you visit for the first time in Google Chrome need to be allowed certain permissions to
work correctly.
○ To the left of the URL address, you’ll see a lock and the word Secure.
○ Click on Secure, and go to the Site Settings menu with the gear symbol next to it.
○ More information on Site Settings can be found here.

6. Google frequently makes changes to the Chrome browser or other apps.
