Javaid Rahi

Javaid Rahi (born Chandak, Poonch, September 1, 1970) is an Indian


Dr.
scholar of literature, history, culture, and languages. As of 2018, he had
Javaid Rahi
authored, edited and compiled more than three hundred books in the
Gujari/Gojri language about Gurjar history, culture, languages, and
literature.[1][2] His YouTube show, Mahari Awaz (https://www.youtube.c
om/user/javaidrahi1) is spoken in Gujari and is aimed at Jammu &
Kashmir audiences.

In 2004 Rahi was appointed as head of the Gujari wing of Jammu and
Language Gujari /(Gojri)
Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages where he compiled the
first-ever Gujari dictionary, containing around 70,000 words. This was the Nationality Indian
fourth dictionary project compiled under his supervision. He compiled the Education University of Jammu
first-ever Gujari language encyclopaedia.[3][4] Notable
