Summary of the answers and comments.

1) What do you think is the relationship between language and culture?

They have a close relationship. Learning a language is an opportunity to learn culture as well

2) What is the influence of culture in the foreign language process?

Culture has a lot of influence because within the process of learning a language (English) you
become aware of the context of the people who speak that language and the culture as well

3) Which cultural expressions that counties have through language do you know?
 When you share a language with a group of people you have the opportunity to learn also
about music, food and common expressions. There are many cultural expressions that comes
with sharing a language

4) Why do you think it is important to have oral traditions in a country?

Because is a part of the richness of that country. It is almost necessary to every country to
have oral traditions in order to be authentic.

5) Do you think that we teach language using culture or do we teach culture using language?
Both of them. You learn about the culture through the language but you also learn about the
language by paying attention to the culture. They are equally important. Cultural expressions
play a major role during the process.

6) Do you take into account culture in the strategies you use in your English classes?
Absolutely. It is necessary. When you teach a foreign language you need to teach the culture
as well.

Reflection

According to the answers obtained, we can say for sure, that culture plays a major role when
teaching English and the other way around. We are not only in the process of learning a language
but we are also involved in the process of getting to know the culture of the country or countries
that speak that language. These two concepts stick together the whole time and we have to take
them into account at the moment of starting the process of learning a second language.
