Book review

Scholarly criticism of a book with facts and figures. We can also define boo review as “a
book review is a brief summary of a book or feedback of a book”.
Steps of book review
1. Information about the book

It means the all information about the book including the tittle of the book, author name,
publisher, ISSN (international serial standard number), contents, pages and price etc.

2. Main theme of the book

A book theme is the main idea that connects the components of story together. It also
means to reveal the book that for which purpose the book is written and what is the focus
of the book( the main subject of the book), and what the book is showing.

3. Merits

It is another main portion of book review; it is often used to see the creativity of reviewer.
In this step we describe the benefits of the book, what new facts and figures and which
new points of knowledge are added.

4. Demerits

It is another important portion of book review. Its aim is to see the mental makeup of a
writer. It describes the faults (demerits) of the book that what do not you like in the book
and what was the more disgusting thing you found in the book.

5. Own analysis

In this portion a writer gives his own point of view about the book and describes his inner
feelings, that the writer could make it better and how this book could be more useful and
beneficial.

6. Conclusion

It is the last step or portion of the book review where the researcher or writer summarize
the whole idea of the book and gives the complete overview about the book.
