TECHNICAL PROJECTS

 PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF ERASURE CODES FOR SURVIVABLE STORAGE (Jan ‘10 to May ’10)
o Evaluated the impact on memory and computations of producing redundancy on a system
using these codes.
o Simulated disk encoding and failures, using files to form other encoded files.
o Implementations in were done using C.

 PROGRAMMING A BEAGLE BOARD (Jan ’10 to May ’10)


o Programming an ARM (OMAP3530 processor) processor with a DSP (TMS320C64x) running
alongside.C6x cross compiler is used. Cross Compiled DSP link, and made to run on the
hardware.
o Implemented media player to play videos output using Gtk+ for User Interface and Gstream
for video codec.

 PERFORMED LOOP FUSION IN OPENUH COMPILER (Aug ‘09 to Dec ‘09).


o Loop fusion optimization was performed on any input program for the compiler.
o All the implementations were done in C++.
o Loop fusion was performed so as to understand the working of the Open 64 compiler.

 SURVEY ON WIRELESS LAN 802.11. (Aug ‘09 to Dec ’09)


o Wireless LAN’s were analyzed for their security and compatibility for multimedia and
performance.

 ELEVATOR SHCEDULING WITH REAL TIME CONSTRAINTS (Aug ‘09 to Dec ‘09)
o A soft real time system was implemented using .NET.
o The system prioritized passengers in a cart according to time constraints.

o Developed the database to index and link to the site.
o Implemented video on demand where videos were streamed to the end user.

o Designed a program to index and sort images in C++.

for an image.
