Universal Design for Learning (UDL): By using prodigy as a tool after lessons, students are able to work at
their own paces. Prodigy is an online educational games that come with instruction embedded within it
alaready. It allows students to go on adventures using mathematical concepts to achieve goals. There are two
separate site for prodigy. One is for teachers to create, modify, and monitor student’s lessons and progress.
The main site is the game site for students to log into and undergo instruction. Gameplay includes various
maps and battles that require students to follow instruction and increase academic language use.
Lesson idea implementation: To introduce lesson, I will have students complete a bell work assignment upon
entering classroom that requires them to identify single step equations and the independent variable. After
completing of bell work activity, students will go to their assigned computer, or tablet, and log into the game
portion of Prodigy. Each student will have lesson differentiated specifically for their learning level, and asked

to complete certain task or adventures for formal assessment. For homework, students will be required
complete 45min to an hour of gameplay.
I will review performance and feedback from game and adjust the following lessons accordingly.
Reflective Practice: These activities could impact student learning by getting students engages and interested
in the contend presented. By providing online instructional gameplay, students are far more likely to be
motivated and engaged in class. To further extend this lesson, I could look over student progress and use
monitoring to differentiate instruction.
