My humble apologies instead helping in right direction, I notice member tend

to promote their business, And also notice automation is not just Web
automation, it could be on any domain automation. Promoting Selenuim, may
serve you only to restricted domain expertise, but you need to understand a
tool that can be cross functionally applicable to any domain and should be
able to learn in short frame of time. :-

Some of the tools from my catalogue:-

1) ATS :- Automates testing suite provided by Oracle...this is catching up
2) SAP-TAO :- Using BPT for ERP applications ........more to SAP
3) HP QC :- Quality center...this is must for test management tool
4) HP FTS :- Functional test suite.......... Key word driven....
5) HP LR :- Load Runner.....if you want to develop into hard core Performance
tester.........this has bright future

And also start developing skill around Perl, the scripting language, which will
be handy in developing your own automation scripts and last but not least
master in VBscripting.....
