Magnetic Separators (ILMS-3,4) will be provided on conveyer# BC-4A/4B discharge head

end for removal of metallic ferrous tramp from coal.
1.3.13 In JT-5, Conveyor# BC-5A/5B will feed coal through diverter gate to Conveyor# BC-6A or
6B. Conveyor# BC-6A/6B is fitted with Fixed Tripper, FT-3 and FT-4 at JT-6 as indicated in
Flow Diagram.
1.3.14 Conveyor # BC- 6A/6B will convey coal to JT-6, and will either feed coal to bunker feeding
Conveyor# TBC-1A or TBC-1B or will feed to itself for onward conveying.
1.3.15 Conveyor# BC- 6A/6B finally conveying coal to JT-7 and feed coal to bunker feeding
Conveyor# TBC-2A or TBC-2B.
1.3.16 In JT-8, Conveyor# BC-3C/3D will feed coal through diverter gate to Conveyor# BC- 4C/4D,
which will further conveyed to the Yard Conveyor# YBC-1A through JT-9 for stacking coal
when coal is not required for bunker feeding. Uni-directional Stacker Cum Reclaimer (S/R) 1
machine, mounted on Yard Conveyor# YBC-1A and working in conjunction, will stack
crushed coal on either side in long stock piles.
1.3.17 As and when required, crushed coal from coal pile will be reclaimed by S/R machine and
will be fed to Yard Conveyor# YBC-1A or YBC-1B, moving in forward direction. Yard
Conveyor#YBC-1A or YBC-1B, in turn will convey the coal to JT-10 & JT-11 and will feed
either to Conveyor# BC-7A or 7B, which further fed to conveyor# BC- 8A/8B for feeding
bunker. CS-5 &6, MD-5&6 & SEM-5&6 will be installed over conveyor# BC-8AB as per
functional requirement.
1.3.18 In addition four (04) nos Reclaim Hoppers (RH) of capacity 75T each have been considered
for feeding crushed coal from stock piles. Stacked coal will be fed into the Reclaim
Hoppers by dozing with Bull Dozers. Coal from Reclaim Hoppers will be fed to Conveyor #
RC-1A/1B through Vibrating Feeders (VF-1,2,3 &4), Rod Gate and Rack & Pinion Gate
fitted at the bottom of the Reclaim Hoppers opening.
1.3.19 Conveyor No.# RC-1A/1B will convey coal to JT-10 and will feed Conveyor# BC- 7A or 7B
for bunker feeding as per flow diagram. CS-3 & 4, MD-3&4, SEM-3&4 & BW-3&4 are
placed over conveyor# RC-1AB as per functional requirement.

1.3.20 The Coal handling plant is provided with two streams of conveyors except yard conveyor
out of which one stream of conveyor will be working while the second stream will be
treated as stand by.

1.3.21 Since coal will be received from different sources, coal stacking will be done by horizontal
spreading and reclaiming will be done by vertical cutting, thus permitting blending of coal
maintaining an almost uniform composition after crushing for onward feeding the steam
generator.

1.3.22 The Coal handling plant is also provided with sump pumps, Electric hoists/manual hoist,
Dust suppression system (DFDS, PWDS), Dust extraction system (DE), Air conditioning
system and mechanical ventilation system at the strategic locations.

1.3.23 For tunnel/Underground portions ventilation system 15 air changes for supply fan & 7 air
changes for exhaust fan is considered.
