Fruits Advantages and Disadvantages:

As we all know that fruits are very healthy for our body but, excess for everything is bad. Normally
there are very few disadvantages of fruits as compared to their benefits.

Following are some Benefits and Disadvantages of Fruits;

Apple:

Apples contain antioxidants called flavonoids, which may reduce the chance of diabetes and asthma.
Apples are also a natural mouth freshener and they clean our teeth with each juicy bite. Apple is
very good for skin it brings freshness to skin. Apples are used to reduce the cholesterol level by 16
percent.

The disadvantage of apple is it has high amount of calories due to sugar so it may create some
problems for diabetic patients.

Banana:

Bananas have 105 calories, 3 grams of fibre, source of vitamin B6, potassium and folate. Banana
helps to control the blood pressure of our body. Banana is very effective for skin. One of the plus
point of banana is it can reduce depression.

The disadvantage of banana is it has low self stability. The prolong life of banana is just for three to
five days in the refrigerator.

Grape:

125 mille liter grapes juice contains 53 calories, less than 1 grams of fibre. Grapes contains
resveratrol, an antioxidant that may help cure heart diseases by decreasing blood pressure levels
and reducing the risk of blood clots.

The disadvantage of grape is it may cause allergy that is very dangerous for health.

Mango:

Mango contains 54 calories, 1.5 grams of fibre. Mango is a source of vitamins A and E. Mangoes are
high in the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, which may help protect the vision and reduce the risk
of age-related macular degeneration. Mango can be used as an anti aging cream.

The disadvantage of mango is it contains a lot of calories and sugar that can increase your weight.

Orange:

Orange contains 62 calories, 3 grams fibre, source of vitamin C, folate and potassium. Oranges are a
good supply of folate, an important vitamin for females for their skin beauty. They also contain a
phytochemical called hesperidin, which may minimize cholesterol levels. The natural oil in oranges
keep your skin fresh and young.

The disadvantage of orange is that, Oranges do not provide fats but it is high in calories. It has much
vitamins, your body needs dietary fats to absorb these vitamins. So oranges lack fats.

Peach:

Peach has 58 calories, 2 grams of fibre, source of vitamin A .High in vitamin A, peaches help out to
control the immune system and can prevent from infections.

The disadvantage of is it may increase your weight.

Pear:

Pear has 96 calories, 5 grams of fibre. Pear contains fiber, which can help prevent constipation.
Soluble fibre also helps reduce the cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

The disadvantage of pear is if you cut it, its color become black after sometime.

Pineapple:

Pineapple contains 40 calories, 1 grams of fibre. Pineapples includes a ordinary enzyme called
bromelain, which transform protein that helps in digestion. Bromelain may also helps to prevent
blood clots, growth of cancer cells and it is also used for immediate wound healing.

The disadvantage of pineapple is, it contains high fructose content that is not beneficial for diabetics
patients or people who want to lose weight.

Pomegranate:

Pomegranate is very delicious fruit that contains 53 calories, 1 grams of fibre, source of vitamin A
and potassium. Pomegranates contain antioxidant tannins, which may defend the heart.
Pomegranates are used to lower down the levels of high blood pressure.

The disadvantage of Pomegranates is, it contain more calories per serving than several other fruits.1-
cup of pomegranate boosts our caloric intake by 144 calories so it may create some problem for fat
people.
